Given that it's basically exactly the same storyline as what they're trying to do for the next 10 years of MCU movies, it doesn't surprise me. They probably want to keep things relatively separate. This game will be forgotten after a year or two. A cartoon series... if done as well as other recent Spiderman/Avengers cartoons... will be remembered for a long time. If they have a memorable cartoon of the storyline, then it'll distract from the MCU movies.

@@AARGamer28 I don't think you quite understand the difference between CGI and an animated movie... CGI is used to enhance a live-action programme/movie. It allows the makers/editors to show scenes and effects that cannot be done IRL. It still has real actors doing stunts and performing in front of a camera. An animated movie/show is something that is made entirely of animation, with voice actors dubbing over the top of them. The MCU films use the former... camera tricks, CGI, etc, to enhance what's actually happening. If you want an example of a "live action" animated movie, watch the remake of The Lion King, as not a single frame of that movie was real, be it the scenery, the animals, etc.

@A R Honestly, while Marvel do some great animated tv shows, I think DC does the shared universe better with animated shows like Justice League/JL Unlimited and Batman: The Brave & The Bold. If DC stuck to animated productions and really went all out on it, they could have it be as big as the MCU. DC does great animated stuff, Marvel does better live action... though that's just my opinion.

@KingFisher Theo You really do seem to have trouble separating the downright mess that is Marvel comics from the MCU which usually does fairly well with its characters. There really isn't that much reason to doubt the MCU can make these characters popular or enjoyable when or if they choose to adapt them. Also, how is Shuri taking up the mantle bullshit? It's the most logical conclusion. She's the next heir to the throne, has been the Black Panther in the comics, is already an established character with potential for growth, there is a lot you can do with the character considering she's getting this title thrust upon her without warning while dealing with the loss of her brother and considering how widely beloved Boseman's portrayal of the character was it would probably not sit well with people if he were simply recast. Succession characters make for great stories so long as they are in the hands of good writers (which obviously Marvel COMICS lack most of the time. )
