I literally have the battle pass complete and have enough tokens to complete Season 1s battle pass. It's simple, they don't want people completing the battle pass literally day 1, then complaining about the game being boring.

@@trilogy3x Chronal tokens: is used solely to be used to unlock things inside of the battlepass, think of this as XP for other games that have a battlepass. It can be gained through daily missions, seasonal events, achievements, challenges (you can find these in your home page with the little calendar icon thing) and in general you just get these by playing the game or converted from lattice. Units: is the primary currency that is used to purchase cosmetics outside of the battlepass and other unique rewards. These can be gained similarly to the chrono tokens, albeit at a much lower amount and rate. Those being seasonal challenges, achievements/hero milestones, events, daily missions, and converted from lattice. And can also be earned through unlocking pages of the battlepass as well. Lattice: is your universal “transfer” currency. It is able to be translated into the currencies above. It’s almost exclusively gained through actual real life money, and the only exceptions I’m aware of is that you can also gain a little bit inside the battle pass if you buy it, and I’m sure it’s some type of “redeemed rewards” as well. It’s basically their way of maxing currency flexible so that you don’t have to commit to one type of currency, or if you want to buy something sooner rather than having to earn it over long periods of time. (Example: if you wanted to buy something worth 1500 units, and you have 1800 lattice, you could spend 1500 lattice to convert into units. And the remaining 300 lattice could be converted into progressing your battlepass if you wanted.)

I always found it kinda confusing how many currencies get added to free-to-play games... Regardless, I'm pretty sad about chrono tokens not going over from season to season. Once you beat the pass, there's not really any reason to do missions.

It's because battle passes don't expire, so if for some reason you've missed anything in any of the passes you can use any extra tokens you have from whatever the current season is to go back and unlock previous passes, it only feels bad for some people at the moment because theirs no previous pass to fill out what's missed

You know what you get to do when you complete the current battle pass? They give you a lot of extra tokens to complete the ones you missed. If you didn't get extra chrono tokens after that, the ability to do old battle passes would have no meaning.

Another thing to point out is that the batllepass costs 490 lattice but you only get around 400 from completing the pass where as most games will give you enough currency to then purchase the next battlepass

I use to play Warzone hardcore back in 2019-2022 but later in 2022 i started to only play overwatch. Fast forward to now, 2025, 3 years later. And my favorite COD youtuber is watching a well known overwatch players video all because Marvel Rivals is such a good game, that everyone in different corners of gaming and its culture are mixing together and meeting each other. Reviewing each other. It feels so weird but brings me a lot of happiness.

Not a scam. It essentially functions as xp. Any Chronotokens that you buy you will keep, and any you get for free you will lose. This keeps people from just saving up 7000 tokens in one season, buying the battlepass, and just having everything at the very beginning of the season. This is a great system, not sure why people think it is a "scam".

LMAO Stylosa fear mongering because all this is is free currency that we get for playing the game anyway. 😂 The passes never expire even if the tokens clear per season. The tokens that stay are the ones that are paid for, but realistically. This is a nothing burger because the majority of people will not be buying them considering they're more generous with Chrono Tokens than they are Units. Which is the currency everyone actually wants to buy skins.

I don't see this as a scam given that the battle pass completes with less than 3200 Chrono Tokens. If the tokens would carry over each season, the battle pass will be completed on launch day meaning that over time when people will get kinda bored of the game they will have no incentive to log in and play. Each season can be completed whenever you want, however you will have to make due with what you have from the current season. I finished the battle pass in the second week so since then 2 more weeks have passed where I accumulated 4860 tokens so there is no reason to say that this is a scam when if you play the game you will get everything eventually. So this mofo is just trying to grab some views 😂😂
