I thought it was based off of that skin, but they just added something else to it.

No. Standard pass is free and you can get the free things. Luxury is paid but give you access to all items

The more expensive version of the battle pass just gives you more chrono tokens at the start so you can progress through the pass faster

If you play the game alot, don't buy it. Save that money for new skins that will drop. If you don't play that often but want to still get all the content. Then buy it

From what I heard, only Chrono tokens can't be used. But you will get some rewards according to the amount of your chrono tokens.

The red book is just the logo for the season and the more expensive version of the pass is just some bonus chronotokens and a boost so you get a little more chronotokens faster.

No you can't buy older passes once their timer runs out, but if you buy the pass within time you can progress it whenever

Well, they have two currencies here. In total they are giving you back 1200+ tokens for 990 with 660 in gold one. On a bright side you get battlepass which will not expire. So pick your poison man. I have seen much worse battle passes tbh.
