Well, part of it might have to do with Hans Zimmer being a pioneer in movie music. As well as edgier darker themes and many people pay homage to his work in theirs.

I know it's sad that it's over, but this ending honestly feels right. Daredevil finally wins and puts Fisk away for good, AND retains his humanity. The trio's friendship is repaired. If Matt survived the accident, then Elektra almost surely did, which means it can be safely assumed they met up at some point later on and continued their relationship. Corruption and villainy can never be fully destroyed as seen with Bullseye's survival, but it can always be held at bay. Better this than going on so long that you end up a cheap cash cow like the Star Wars sequels, or butchered by directors like Game of Thrones. You either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain.

So many of us DC fans were sad christian bales realistic version of batman ended. To me we can't get Daredevil the way we did without the dark knight trilogy. Which is beautiful because we can't have a dark batman without frank millers work on daredevil. We got so much content with Charlie and it is the definitive take on the character and his mythology.

I'd argue that this show is better than any Superhero movie, including Spider Man 2 and the Dark Knight. The characters, dialogue, fight scenes and soundtrack are on another level. I've just finished season 3. Wow! What do I do now? If we ever get a season 4, I hope Disney can do it justice.

There is a reason they gave it 18 episodes and made it TV-MA. The director and writers point is mute. Other writers and directors could keep the same quality if not better. There's no point in pre judging the writing or direction if you haven't seen it.
