Nah, not like the movie. An Ironman game lends itself to a customization system, with cool abilities and stuff. I’d rather make the system somewhat similar to injustice 2, with 4 or 5 different gears and gear sets that mimic the look of a famous suit from the movies/comics. These gear sets can come with special perks depending on how many gears are equipped in the set. For example, let’s say we have the stealth suit from the comics. 2 of 5 gears could grant a health bonus, 3 of 5 can grant a defense bonus, and 5 of 5 can allow the player to go invisible. Or you can make it similar to Marvel’s Spiderman. There are a bunch of skins that you can unlock by progressing through the game, and each suit can come with suit abilities. And you can design your own armor using the pieces and suit abilities of skins you already have. There’s really many ways to go about it, but whatever you do... Don’t make it anything like the movies. That’s one of the reasons why Marvel’s Avengers is failing. Aside from it’s incompetent developers who refuse to actually give what the players want, the characters feel so much like their MCU counterparts that people complain a lot about it. Same personality, same exact characters, very similar suits. Everything in their version of the character is present, but done far worse when compared to the MCU. Associating a game with a very successful franchise can quite easily backfire. You need to take inspiration from multiple incarnations of whoever you’re working with. That’s why the Arkham games, and Marvel’s Spiderman have been successful. They’re not parodies, they’re different versions. Making ironman’s default look the mcu version will most likely backfire, unless the game is part of the MCU.

Well square Enix was the best choice to make this game as in their other games like monster hunter that focused on many different fighting styles to suit the player and I don't know if you can play as the other characters or not but if you can then that's great 👍

I'm glad they're keeping it focused though. It'll definitely be stronger from a narrative standpoint, especially when you compare to the Avengers mess. Plus, Guardians storylines generally tend to be told through Quill or taken from his perspective, so for a new entry it definitely makes sense to go with Quill as being the only playable. At least the other members can be used during combat as combos by issuing commands similar to other JRPG's. This game seems to have a very strong direction though and a seal of approval from Dan Abnett, the guy that made GotG relevant again and then be picked up for the MCU to bloom. I'm so happy Guardians are getting great treatment because the characters, universe, everything about them is just fantastic. My favourite comic book heroes series and one i still keep tabs on.

@@justadude7922 This exact lineup of characters for the Guardians of the Galaxy is actually quite rare, it is certainly one of the recognizable lineups due to the the MCU but usually their comic lineup is a random selection of three of these characters and then two to five other cosmic marvel characters. So far, I'm all in! :D Quite excited for this! If the graphics and gameplay can be refined a bit before launch, and if they deliver the high quality character driven story this ad is selling, then I think they could have a great game on their hand. At the end of the day, Avengers will be a far better game. It is still in development. Maybe released too early, but its getting better with each download. This game will not come even close to the Avengers game. The movement and fighting aspects are so clunky. Avengers is way more fluid. Avengers has huge upside, and the addition of all of the new characters and new play modes continue to improve the game. At least they have not turned their backs on the game, and continue to develop it unlike most publishers. Remember Fallout and Anthem?

I know I commented on the main trailer, but seeing this video? I REALLY wish the other Guardians were playable. They seem to be marketing really heavy into "You are Star Lord", but then why isn't the game called "Star Lord & Friends"? It's called Guardians of the Galaxy. It's like if there was an X-Men game and you can only play as Cyclops. I can't imagine myself getting the game if other characters are right there on-screen and I couldn't play as them. It would just be disappointing.

Rocksteady have DC/Warner Brothers. Insomniac, really? after Ratchet and Clank, Sunset Overdrive, the Spiderman games, you don't think they got enough on their plate? Just because it's published by Square Enix, this isn't DEVELOPED by them (gamers really need to learn the difference). This isn't made by Crystal Dynamics, it's made by Eidos Montreal; the guys that created Human Revolution AND Mankind Divided.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but they have no planned DLC for this game at all. They announced it on their official Twitter page. But hey if you play on PC there’s a 10000% chance that some modder or the other is going to make them playable.
