One of my favorite things this game does: it acknowledges when you have Peter do the video gamey thing of "checking corners or non essential paths". Characters always make a comment which gives me a dialogue reward atop oftentimes finding items to power up my characters or collectibles. It's an awesome touch of flair in a linear game like this.

Multi-player is hard to implement too, but it generates a lot of money. In fact a lot of games wouldn't be profitable if they only shipped with single-player, where the player only purchases the game once. So it's either bug the single player with the micro transactions (and we saw Avengers in how well that plays out), or bundle that up with the multi-player and leave the single player as simple and elegant as possible.

This is the most cinematic game I've ever played. It is linear but there is enough choice and combat to make you feel involved. Kinda like a Choose your own adventure book from the 80s. (This is referenced in Star Lord's room as a boy. Not an accident) Fantastic game and probably the best looking game I've ever seen. Luv and Peace.

Marvel’s Avengers wasn’t made by Square either. It was made by Crystal Dynamics, who also made the recent Tomb Raider games. However, they were both published by Square Enix.

@@gamerforlife3946 Might want to check on that. Eidos Montreal developed Guardians on behalf of Square. Crystal Dynamics developed Avengers also on behalf of Square. If you check wiki Eidos Montreal also assisted with the development of Avengers ( guessing they share tech behind the scenes )

Xbox has native Dolby Vision support for this game but PS5 has haptic feedback, I'm torn. The visual fidelity in this game is very impressive for cross-gen.
