Hate to nitpick, but as a big fan of Andrew and his Spider-Man's swinging style, I feel that you forgot about his extreme environmental interaction habit, he loves hopping through fire escapes, slipping through holes of those water container thingies, running over obstacles on top of buildings, you get the idea. He does a lot of other parkour related things around his web-swinging. I feel that you captured the other two perfectly tho, so great job on their part!

His swinging from movie 1 and movie 2 is drastically difference. If you remember, from the first movie, the only time he truly web-zipped through something was through the crane at the end of the movie. In movie 2, Andrew barely goes through anything skinny, but he’s insanely nimble and quick.
@crestdragon
@crestdragon 2 ай бұрын
You two are both right. Andrew style in this video is mainly inspired by the second movie, and the swinging style here is really different from the first one. Note that "environmental interaction" and "speed" do not go together. If you want to be fast, you would want to keep surface interactions and running motions to a minimum. The interaction is from first movie, and speed is from the sequel. That is also very logically realistic and probably one of the biggest reasons I love TASM. Why? Because it shows the evolution of Spider-Man and how he perfect his technique. As a newbie it's make sense that he kept bumping into things like cars, rooftops and make mistakes, and he had to make up for that by doing interaction in style. But once he perfected his move for efficiency in the second movie, we can see the style changes drastically right away. And not just web swinging, everything he does shows the improvement in efficiency, accuracy and speed too, from bullet-dodging to web-shooting. Really great attention to detail in those movies

You can also parkour like certain kinds of Spideys. As Andrew you want to aim for certain object types, the top corners of buildings, bottoms of water towers, and fire escapes. He goes for one big flashy move all at once before returning to the air. As Tom, look for dense clusters of rooftops with both a lot of pipes and benches to interact with, and also small changes in elevation so you can jump to the next one. He goes for strings of little flips and leaps across lowrises. Tobey at most flips off a lamp post or streetlight sometimes. The vast majority of his movement is in midair
@SavimusProductions
@SavimusProductions Жыл бұрын
Tobey and Andrew barely parkour. In Andrew’s case, he really only did it for the end of The Amazing Spider-Man, but other than that, the rest of it mostly just plain swinging. Tobey doesn’t parkour at all in his swinging scenes but he does like to land on the edge of rooftops and run on them before flipping off of them. Tom, however, does like to parkour a lot, but with the way he parkours in the movies, the game doesn’t do his movement justice.

I used to think they did in spider-man ps4 but i probably just tried to emulate it. @ryanscoffeehour6404

Tobey also swings mostly one armed. You can accomplish this by releasing your swing button right after you hit the lowest point of the pendulum. Peter will do an animation where he extends a single arm and you will press the swing button again. You will pick up major speed and you will need to release and press again a little bit faster every time. If you time the animation correctly you will be swinging one arm at a time interchanging each of them on each swing just like how Tobey does in the movie. You will go extremely fast doing this. If your timing to fire your web is too soon he will loose altitude, to late and he will use both hands, do it perfectly and you'll stay at the same altitude the whole swing. If you let go of your web to early you will fall, do it to late and he just does his normal swing. Don't forget Tobey also liked to swing near ground level, if you are skilled enough you can skim the ground barrier without bumping it and causing the weird junky animation it will do if you get to close to the ground. Do it perfectly and you can skim the ground while maintaining your height and speed. Edit: this video slapped. I was expecting some stupid shit like you just doing normal swinging for each spider-man but you actually fucking did it. You made each section feel unique to the others and was truly inspired by the movies swinging choreography and took it genuinly seriously. Massive props. lets take a moment of silence for the dozens of failed attempts, tens of reshoots, possible lost footage on recording and the hours that went into rewatching the video hundreds of times over and over during the editing process, making sure each clip showed his best.

One thing that i noticed about Andrew's swinging is that he likes parkour, and he also releases the web at the peak of his swing. It's honestly very interesting and probably the most fun if you could web swing irl. He also likes to dive and then shoot his web before releasing it at the peak, which makes his swinging gain great spead and altitude. It's one of my favorites ngl. This video is amazing. Thanks for sharing.

Spot on but some comment though. Andrew’s style in the second one is using momentum to gain speed - not swinging until the last minute before you hit the ground. To quote one of the official videos, he’s more of a “daredevil, adrenaline type junkie”. He’s low because he wants to so he can be faster. Tobey’s swinging high and effortless because it’s practical. While for Holland, he’s low and uses things because he’s a bit inexperience.

@@King-Novayou can map some action inputs to the left and right of the D-pad. for example, you can use that to shoot webs or use abilities rather than using full, multiple button actions (L1+X, L1+R1 etc.) There’s also a setting that slows down the game speed, causing everything to move in slow motion almost. You can map that setting to one of the sides of the D-pad buttons, basically giving a slow-mo effect for more cinematic clips As for dude saying you can use that to cheese combat, you can do that too. If everything’s moving a bit too fast for you to react and you don’t wanna die, you can use that slow-mo shortcut to give yourself some more time and breathing room, essentially cutting the difficulty of the game down quite a bit.

All this with NO MODS?! I absolutely love this game, man. The realistic web-swinging really makes you feel like each of the 3 Spider-Men, yes. But I like how you had FUN with this video. YOU are Spider-Man!

I said it once and I’ll say it again; I said to limit its usage. It’s not a defining trait since he only does it once, so use it if you’d like!

Tom’s swinging is the least stylish imo. His swinging feels chaotic and rubbery. He flails all over the place. Tobey’s is smooth and graceful, and each swing has a ton of power behind it. Andrew has the style. He has so much fun with his swinging, incorporating twists and flips and even climbs up his web mid swing to gain more height, yet you can still tell how calculated each move is
