It's funny to think how much the 90's Spider-Man Animated Series has influenced future adaptations of Spider-Man. In the comics the black suit never affected Peter's behavior in a negative way or "corrupted" him and yet almost all future animated adaptations, games and even movies have used that cocept. And it didn't make him stronger either. The symbiote simply offered 2 very handy features: it's own webbing (which never made him run out of his web fluid again) and quick change of clothing as the suit could change appearence to mimic any outfit. The sole reason Peter got rid of it in the original story was after finding out the Symbiote was actually a living being that got the wrong idea of what Peter wanted to do and started taking over his body to be Spider-Man while he slept. That creeped him out. It was trying to help him but the relationship became invasive and was more than what Peter was asking for between having a somewhat normal life and doing his superheroing. The symbiote only became resentful and hateful when Peter left it.

They confirmed that you'll be playing as both Miles and Peter for equal screen time and there will be certain story moments where you'll have to play as one or the other.

To be fair to Mary Jane in the previous game, that's pretty much what her character is like in the comics as well. She's not some helpless, screaming and crying damsel in distress like in the Raimi movies, but someone who tries to take a proactive approach to situations. She's not someone who just sits on the sidelines and watches.

I’m as hyped for this game as I was for No Way Home and both Spiderverse movies, and the fact that all the suits in all of those movies are going to be used as alternate outfits in this game makes me even more excited.

To your question, yes you can switch between Peter and Miles at your will anytime

You can jump between the characters. I believe you're also supposed to be able to see the other Spider-Man on the map. Plus there are exclusive missions that only Miles can do and some only Peter can do and some that either one can do.

You'll be able to switch between Peter and Miles at any time in the game while in the open world, just like in the grand theft auto 5, but you'll have different story missions for each spider-men. some you'll have to play as Pete, others you'll have to do as Miles, mary jane, etc.

the other trailers definitely showed kraven, lizard, and venom. but i didn't think they'd bring sandman in too. getting ahead of things but this just leaves a couple of obvious big baddies to round out the trilogy. 😄

In this game you will play as Miles and Peter and you can switch to them both any time. Yes MJ was very annoying. She was more like the MJ from Tobey Mcghires Spider Man to me but with more courage and badass😅

Venom usually only says "we" when the symbiote finds it's final host. It wouldn't make sense for Peter to start saying "we" unless he fully turns into venom at some point.

The issue I had with the face change is simple. Those who played it were drawn into a story of high adventure & emotion for hrs on end on PS4 with that face. For me it made playing the remaster on my PS5 hard to connect with. That debate is now over but it was hard to take. I'm ready to move on for Spider-Man 2
