The only consoles I have are the PS3 and Wii. I don't have a PC that can play games. When I get my Steam Deck, I'll play this. Can't wait to play nice looking games like this.

That is insane on the steam deck. I thought about getting one because I've never had a proper gaming pc and this would be convenient for my small living space but, since I was lucky enough to get a series x, ps5 and have my switch with children that get use out of them I finally decided to get a 11th gen Acer Predator for myself which seems decent for the price. Immediately I downloaded Total Warhammer 3 and just had a massive smile on my face playing something you don't really get on consoles. I think I'll get the steam deck 2 when it inevitable comes or a pc I can fit in my space.

Elden Ring is magic man.. the only thing I was disappointed with on Steam Deck is the setting seemed to lose some of it's astonishing sense of scale on the small screen.. when I booted it up the first time and went to one of my favorite erd tree viewing spots there may as well of been someone playing a kazoo behind me because it was underwhelming.. but I got used to it and I'm 200 hours in 🙂

Insomniac's Spider-Man was amazing, very well done! excited for Spider-Man 2. Venom sits in my top 3 favorite comic book characters, really hoping it has a co-op campaign this time.

I just started playing it on the steamdeck. It's the best super hero game ever made. I was scared of it because super hero games are always dad. But this one is top notch. Fisk is HARD.

Victor, don't you wish 2003's Batman: Dark Tomorrow had been just like 2018's Spider-Man? I remember you giving it a 3.5/10 back in the day & Tommy Tallarico said that Batman was cursed & there would never be a good 3-D Batman Game EVER!

Dark Tomorrow was such a heartbreaker! I remember the promises we got from Kemco US when we visited the company to chat about what turned out to be an utter pile of Bat-crap!

@@EPN I remember you crossing your fingers & pleading with Kemco US to make it good. At least that's how I remember it! Tommy did give it some mercy points because of the great music, which was done by the London Philharmonic Orchestra If I recall correctly.

@@EPN I have vague memories of playing that at a demo setup in Best Buy, was pretty damn mediocre and I would have been pissed if I'd paid for that. Fortunately the Arkham games were (largely) excellent.

Spider-man really does have the best power set for a video game. This is the only open world game where I never use any form of fast travel. Even traveling is fun.

Considering how much I play the PS4 version I still can't get used to the new Peter Parker's face. That said, one of the only flaws that this game had was that is wasn't available for more people from the start. Glad to see that changing

I am actually one of the fans that prefers the new Peter Parker face. He looks kinder. I think it's right in line with the empathy that Holland's Peter Parker projects and the comic book character embodies.

I'm experiencing Spider-Man for the first time on my PC and I'm enjoying it max'd out on the visuals! (11700k @5GHz 3080 TI) I get stuck in front of windows admiring the RT reflections. :D I rarely to never buy games at full price but I'm happy to say I'm not regretting it!

I love the PS4 Spider man game and Miles Morales game but i dont like how they changed Peters face for the remastered I thought an older peter made sense. But it seems like they wanted the game Peter to look more like Tom Holland

I think we all had the same before it's just frustrating that Peter Parker is always look old right even in in the cartoons he's always looked older than he supposed to be even in a whole bunch of American shows teenagers are played by adult actors with all know that but decided to young his face but they kept miles Morales looking the same age which just doesn't compute and I think that's the problem

This is definitely one case where there's more than enough game to satisfy that price. This game is a masterpiece, especially if you like/love Spidey.

I'm not sure a handheld PC that can already play a good portion, if not all of your Steam library needs a "killer app", the Steam Deck while on the surface similar, is not a console, and is not really competing with the Nintendo Switch, as people are overwhelmingly buying that platform for the exclusives vs. portable play. The appeal of the Deck is taking your extant Steam library with you.

You can see DLSS and Ray Tracing on (sometimes Medium, sometimes High) in the footage labeled “Desktop” in the review. The game is already shiny as hell and knowing Insomniac it’ll only improve over the next couple of months after patches.

What was the frame rate though. On PC he said over 60 felt good but can the Steam Deck get 60?

On the desktop I was playing up to 165fps on the 21:9 display and it was running at 60fps on my OLED. On Steam Deck it runs between 40-60 depending on the scenario using Insomniac’s recommended settings. The thing with all of this performance though is that a week from now it’ll all be better.
