Quick video outlining the process of installing the Spider-Man PC Modding Tool by jedijosh920 from Nexus Mods onto Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered on the Steam Deck. Leveraging AnyDesk for remote desktop but would heavily recommend either a similar process or docking to a keyboard / mouse / monitor
Path to asset_archive directory on Steam Deck (Internal Install):

Thanks, man, there weren't many videos I saw that showed how to install mods on the steam deck at least not fully extensively since I've had no PC Gaming experience whatsoever. Had to improvise a bit in setting up the link symlink for the SMPC Tool when I doing the process on my SD card, and inserting the SMPC tool into the steam library but I was able to successfully install the mods I wanted to insert in.

Just installed it for my deck and there’s a web swinging mod (by jedijosh920) where you can change the how much speed you get when you let go of the web but when I try to extract it it doesn’t appear in the mod folder. Any reason why?

I installed all the mods to fully replace Peters face to how it looked in the PS4 version, but it still looks like that Tom Hallond face. I swear I did everything exactly like you did in the video, but my mods don’t seem to be going through even though the mod installer said the mods were installed. I really don’t know what I did wrong. 🙃 EDIT: I forgot to check the boxes next to the mods in the installer. That’s what it was.

i did everything and it said the mod was installed but i had a question, since you said it replaces a suit slot does that suit have to be unlocked for it to appear in the game?

Yes I believe it does for you to be able to choose it

Not one I've seen before Are you sure the game is fully up to date? Makes me think the asset folder is incomplete If you continue to run into problems you can uninstall and reinstall the game just make sure your work cloud save is up to date prior to uninstalling

@@halocr thanks I’ll try redownloading it, but if this helps at all it was working before then later in the day every Time I opened the mod tool it just started saying that it cannot find the table of contents when I clicked the asset archive.

Unfortunately just have to unlock the suit or use someone else's save game mod. I'd vote the former. Solid game.

I am having an issue where it tells me the mods have been installed, but when I go to the game, my mods haven’t been added in at all. Any advice?

Best advice I can give is to redownload the game after ensuring your cloud save is uploaded and then repeat the mod installation process Of course it's a very large game so that may not be viable given your internet connection

My game files corrupted recently and i had to verify the files and now when i add a mod it doesnt work. I also deleted and reinstalled the mod tool but that didnt fix it. I need help asap

Unfortunately I haven't been able to recreate any of the corrupt scenarios. A re-install and repeat of the process has worked for most. One thing you can try is to leverage CryoByte33's awesome CryoUtilities app that now has a data cleanup feature for your uninstalled games. 1. Uninstall the game 2. Run CryoUtilities and use the clean data feature on Spider-Man 3. Repeat the mod process Just be careful not to use the clean feature on any game that doesn't have an up to date Cloud Save or doesn't support it Breakdown video here kzbin.info/www/bejne/eWqom4uPj7qki9U Good luck

It doesnt let me use the trackpad and i cant select the asset achive folder, do you know why? Also it says "table of content files is missing" when I try to select the archive folder

@@saulmontiel9079 actually yeah, I just kept on doing it believe it or not, since you can’t use the trackpad and have to use touch screen my only tip is to hit just a little bit above where you want to click because atleast for me the touchscreen goes a little low, and for the missing content it was most likely they misclicked

⁠@@Mushesssorry if i’m late to either, if you assign the right trackpad to act as a mouse in the steam controller layout for the mod launcher then it’ll work. i understand the pain of trying to use the touch screen mechanics here

How do you install the add slot tool mod?

Assuming it's a Nexus mod and supports the Spider-Man mod tool the process should be the same you just need to provide a compatible file If not, may require manual replacement of files in the Spider-Man directory structure depending on the mod
