The only "problem" I can see with them being released the same time is that the multiple viewings that weekend might get damaged for Justice League. I know I wont go and see it again that weekend no matter how good it is because I need to see Punisher ASAP. So I will see Justice League and then binge Punisher. So if anything the opening weekend will suffer slightly that way. But those who want to see the movie again will go later. So its just a shift of when the money will come in. Not really a problem, other then for Internet-warboys who are going to troll about the amount Justice Leagues makes or doesnt make.

I'd most likely watch JL on the night before and then during the weekend. Then, I'd binge watch Punisher.

That's why I won't watch Punisher that weekend. If Marvel thinks it can hurt JL by releasing Punisher on the same day, then I'll thumb my nose at Marvel. I'd do the same to DC if the roles were reversed. That's just a dick move by Marvel.

John Wilson Naw, that's awesome marketing. A lot of people are fans of both DC and Marvel, so it's a win win for both franchises. If you go see Justice League, later that night, you're most likely watch The Punisher.

@too2great8. You don't think releasing Punisher will reduce the number of people who go see JL multiple times? By reducing that number, it will affect JL's opening week box office. They're trying to game the system so that their movies' opening weekends look better. So it is NOT a "win" for DC if fans who would have seen JL two or three times now only see it once because they spend the next day binge watching Punisher. Thus, it's a dick move (and I personally won't be watching Punisher that weekend; I might even put it off until the new year).

IN DDS2, they made it seem as if his family's death was just about his family being in the wrong place at the right time, but this trailer makes it look like a greater mastermind used the sting-gone-wrong to cover up the fact that they were targeting Frank and his family (The scope through the fence, aimed directly at his family, showing that they were directly targeted from a safe distance and from cover.) Heck, in DDS2, they even mentioned that they don't know who started shooting first. Maybe none of the gangs shot first. Maybe it was the assassin setting the sting off, in order to cover up the assassination.

Jesus F*cking Christ - That trailer was significantly better than the last. Which was Already amazingly awesome. I massively appreciate the use of Metallica's "ONE". Unlike other trailers that switch up the songs too much from one to the next there can be no better match or fit for this character then that song - and I and many fans alike simply cannot believe we never saw the connection between "Johnny Gets His Gun" / that Song / and Frank Castle. Until now. SO. BADASS.

The only thing that doesn't make sense, is in DD S2 they sort alluded to him taking out the guys who killed his family,, Perhaps maybe they retcon some of that, or perhaps there was more to the story. But it sort of seems like they are retreading a bit. I'm stoked for the show. That's that only odd thing about this. I think Jon Bernthal was a revelation as Punisher and should have been nominated for some awards for that performance. (that cemetary scene- 1 of the top Marvel moments)

I think they will sort of retcon by implying that the Blacksmith and his goons were just other pawns in the hands of the guy we saw in the trailer. It sounds plausible after all, mobsters shouldn't have intel about a guy up in the military elite.

I've been watching (and re-watching) all the Netflix Marvel shows in anticipation of The Punisher and just got to Iron Fist last night. It's like all the other shows are HBO and Iron Fist is a PG-rated rom-com lol.

i will deff check show out but it wont make me question morality as i dont see him as a hero at all he is a vigilante, he also should be in prison. Im not sure if will be able to take show with 13 hours of this. As punisher was good in daredevil cause of contrast to matt but on his own im not sure. But i will check it out

I hope it's a time jump. I am SO tired of flashbacks. They are overused today, as if storytellers can't tell linear stories anymore. Flashbacks were cool in Lost, but that started 13 years ago. They aren't clever ways to structure stories anymore. They're lazy ways to try to fill in backstory.
