I completely agree. Wolverine is my absolute favorite, but other Xmen need their time in spotlight. That’s one thing I love about Xmen Animated series and ‘97, it’s Xmen not Wolverine and friends.

My guess is that Wolverine is going to show up half way through the first film, or in the last third. It'll be a small build up. But I don't think they're going to wait until a post credits to show Wolverine, it'll be some point during the first film. He won't be the main focus, at least.

The 2 points of X-Men and mutant talk... 1) Why does EVERYONE lean towards "the Snap" to explain how the mutant gene got activated? When we have characters like Namor being the first mutant, wouldn't that kill the theory of "the Snap"? 🤔 2) Wolverine not having to be in an X-Men film. That can be done, but like Namor, he will still have to exist, even if you chose to tell a story without him in it.

Another major push for Deadpool & Wolverine is that it’s seems to be, in some level, a continuation of the Loki show which, arguably, is the best overall Marvel show on Disney+ and built a tremendous fan base. The inclusion of the TVA, the Void, and Goliath has us all excited about all the possible connections.

I could see Wingard doing a season 2 of MONARCH episode. He could that hot flavor to finale or a normal episode. I mean look at Bryce Dallas Howard, an actor and a director.. her directing in The Mandalorian episodes where fantastic.. Wingard should do a come back in Monarch season 2

Whoever brought up Gwenpool doesn't know who she is, she isn't Gwen Stacy, she isn't even a Deadpool variant, she's some random comics fan that falls into the Marvel universe and decides she can play a Deadpool type since she knows all the secret info of her favorite characters. She has no powers at first either, so it would be like dropping Iman Vellani into the MCU as herself, she might know where to find some radioactive critter to get herself some powers but would basically just be a massive fan on a rampage in her favorite series.

Terry Matalas is a good sign. He managed to save the absolute dumpster fire that was Picard prior to season 3 so I'm hopeful he can work some magic with Vision Quest (or whatever it's called). Also the 12 Monkeys show was quite a lot of fun - and I went into that with *extremely* low expectations because the movie is among one of my all time favorites and I just didn't see how it could work as a tv show, but he pulled it off. Good sign all around.

Out of the multiple approaches to introducing X-Men, the idea that the MCU 616 was uniquely light on mutants is grounds for a story about what happened in the past to prevent them being more common. Also, for the MCU to tackle "Hated and feared" just for being mutants, it makes sense to tweak the trigger of the fear. Imagine mutants coming in large numbers from another Earth, from alien abduction, or even Krakoan amber stasis and suddenly expected to be accepted as Earth citizens. There are parallels to current world xenophobia and immigration issue hysterics that can drive the irrational fear that differentiates people's feelings about Mutants from known superheroes. Shoot, imagine if the modern "camp" treatment is those Mexican border camps separating children from their parents and having them (kids) legally represent themselves.
