I like the type of articulation they used for the shoulder pads. It makes posing so much more fun and convenient. If this guy were Legends size, I would definitely pick it up (of course, that statement holds true for every Marvel Select figure). Cool vid! Love your shirt ad at the end!

mine just arrived from china. it's exactly the same figure the only difference is it comes in loose packaging and the brown metallic paint is black. I'm going to paint those parts silver. Other than that this figure is awesome. You can find them on eBay.

cool. I like the figure. The only issue I have with the figure is the leg articulation. I wish they would have used a standard ball joint.

TripXization I use Testors enamel pait. They're paints used for models but I use the for customizing figures. You can find them online or arts and craft stores.

I can't believe your reviewing this figure. Dude this used to be my favorite iron man, but his lack of leg articulation frustrated me so I got the iron man armored avengers: iron man and loved it...that is until I saw the revoltech iron man mark III....WOW dude you got to get that figure.

I emailed Marvel Select about my broken Thor figure and they said they didn't have an extra Thor but they'd send me one of these Iron Man figures free of charge. They're a great people. Diamond Select -3

I don't know where the hate comes from, but this figure is amazing. The paint used is perect (until it chips off as some people say). The articulation is way bettr than I thought it would be. I actually think it has more articulation than the Hasbro. I noticed he is a bit out of scale with the Walmart 6" Avengers. I actualy think he'd look just fine if i just used him as a stand alone display piece.

Awesome Review bro but I'm surprised you got him. I was greatly disappointed in this figure & this one and the War Machine made me stay away from Marvel Select for a long time. The Hasbro or Revoltech are way better. I just don't like how the paint chips off easily, how it's too out of scale, how the articulation sucks compared to the Hasbro one, and the Robert Downey Jr. Face Sculpt disappointed me.

The Selects actually make more sense and are in scale... since you're in a titanium armor that weights tons... Look from the movie as well... He's not on Extremis Armor anyway.

Try putting the top of that base into the freezer for 10-15 minutes maybe then it will snap in properly.

nice review. thanks. i think this is the best recently-released iron man figure, but you say he's not a must-get. if not this iron man figure, which one is better? i was excited to get this figure today from ebay for $22. I recently passed on wal-mart exclusive avengers iron man, hawkeye, and captain america. i did get loki, thor and hulk. i also have marvel select hulk. i might get marvel select hawkeye. but what iron man figure is better than this? (under $75!)

I used to have the Iron man 2 version but sold it because I couldn't stand the articulation nor the scale. Btw there should be 2 flaps that open up on his back as well. great review

just got this for a reasonable price,i like it a lot,but had to return and exchange two(and one forth) times, first i got had an effed up left arm, 2nd had an effed up right arm,and the 3rd one had your problem shartimus,double same hands which is the common prob but like u i was too busy on the fig and missed that detail.the toystore(toy kingdom,props) gladly exchangedrepeatedly with me til i got the perfect figure,head of fig1,hands of fig 2,and body of fig 3.not many get the chance for that:)

Naw, I hear ya. Def NOT one of my favorite Select figures, but I didn't know that I could manage to move his legs forward, which is cool. The paint issues pisses me off, not as much as getting two sets of the same exact hands! WTF?! But I mostly got him because I have Select versions of all the other Avengers, so hey, why not?
