you probably already know this but you could also use EVA foam for this, its pretty much the same as cardboard, different thickness, easy to work with using a cutter/xacto knife and can be primed, painted and i think its more durable than cardboard, im pretty sure you can also coat it with resin if you want to, maybe you'll do a build in the future using foam just to try it out, cheers and keep up the good work

Love that you use cardboard and other thing a lot of people would already own. It reminds me of when I was a kid and used to make everything out of card board but at some point through adulthood you feel like you need to upgrade your materials in order to make quality things. That’s definitely not necessary weather its card board or 3d printed they both will take a lot of time but look great!

For anyone wanting to make this for their kid, I've been trying to get the right size for my 5 year old. Tried printing at 80% and it was too small. Couldn't even put it on my 1 year old daughter's head! 😄 I then tried printing at 90% and it seemed to be ok size for my son's head but he couldn't get the helmet on because the opening is too small. I tried removing quite a bit in the back but it didn't help. So I ended up just printing it at 100%. I can get the helmet on my head if I push my ears in when I put it on. So it'll fit my son's head. If anyone is making this helmet for a younger child, I'd try with something between 95% and 100%. 🙂
@ermanvavassori7435 Жыл бұрын

GUYS!!! if u want the helmet to fit PERFECTLY, DON'T set the tile scale to 100. to measure the tile scale, take the diameter of ur head in milimeters, divide that by 160 and multiply that by 100. THAT is what your tile scale setting should be. Sean told this in one of his spiderman mask videos and hope that this comment helped a few people at least

Is there anyway to do this if you don't have Adobe acrobat?
@pepe_the_frog713 Жыл бұрын
@@Sager_Gamer not really. Adobe Acrobat is there so that you can split the print across multiple pages and have it fit to your head. If you print it on one page, its gonna be smaller since it has to be cramped up into one spot and it wont really fit.
