Inspired by watching boring Transformers action figure reviews, the ShartimusPrime youtube channel was launched in 2008. Engaging the audience with an edgy sense of humor while maintaining appropriate language for all ages, action figure collecting has never been this fun, and videos are posted daily! Unexpectedly, the channel became more popular for Marvel Legends reviews and Spider-Man, Avengers, and X-Men collection display videos. After a few years, the channel has branched out to review other figure properties aside from Marvel Legends and G1 Transformers Masterpiece. Hot Toys, Star Wars, Diamond Select Toys, DC Collectibles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dragon Ball Z, Attack on Titan, Godzilla, Evil Dead, and The Walking Dead toy lines have all been added to the roster of nearly 2,000 video reviews. Japanese import figures from SH Figuarts, Bandai, Figma, Square Enix, and Medicom MAFEX have been favorites as well. More recently, Kotobukiya Statues (including the very sexy Bishoujo line) and NECA Toys have become more prevalent on the channel. Being a big fan of movies such as Spider-Man, Batman, X-Men, Iron Man, Captain America, The Avengers, Evil Dead, Pacific Rim, Aliens, and other films has lead the channel in the direction of also reviewing movies, movie trailers, blu ray releases, and tv shows. News updates for 2016 releases and beyond are also posted. Audience engagement is a big part of this channel, with giveaways and fan mail being read publicly once a week in the PO Box Pick-Up videos. Impressive “Shart-Art” is shared via social media and included in the opening theme song. The audience is also kept up to date with any changes to the channel, along with recent comic book pick-ups, unboxings, and action figure hauls. Stop-motion segments punishing the popular meme of the Big Time Let Down Spider-Man close most of the comparison segments, and are compiled together for guaranteed access to patrons. Lastly, all figure reviews close with a slideshow featuring dynamic poses of the figure inspired by ACBA, with the added bonus of music performed and recorded by ShartimusPrime himself.

Yes, you are right, althought the straps never show in the interior comic arts :), i guess jim lee just try to modified her costumes or it just cyclops who lend the straps to her :)

Psylocke according to the comics was 5'11. Rogue was 5' 8. So yeah she was taller than her.

I actually really like the yellow pouches, and it never hurts to have more accessories. But if I do take them off, it’s a lot easier to dunk the figure in hot water and pull the belt down over the legs.

Cool figuer. The paint job wasnt the best but I guess you could correct that yourself. One of my biggest gripes when they make with characters with long hair or capes. They put so much attetion in making the figuer articulate then put a hard platic piece on it that underminds all that effort!. One of my biggest problems with the New X-Men box set. Storms cape is cloth but her hair piece is hard plastic which just bugger it up!

She works for being really leggy, too bad that sash has such bland paint. Overall she looks cool and i may add her to the collection down the road. I randomly keep the xmen selects going when I can afford it. Awesome review as always man.

Excellent review Shartimus!. I am new to collecting Marvel Select and Legends. I decided to get MS Rogue and loved it. I had a feeling this figure was gong to be good from pics but I didnt know HOW good. Now if Diamond Select can make a '90s Storm Marvel figure on the level of quality of this figure, I'll be in heaven.

I don’t own her yet, but I want to, I don’t really collect Marvel Select, just Marvel Legends. I do own MS Hulk and Rogue, though. I did the leg modification to Rogue, where you pop off the lower leg/foot and remove the calf below the green band. She now scales with ML figures, and I’m happy. I’d love to do so with Psylocke, but she’s too leggy. I was hoping you’d pop her head onto the Marvel Legends body!! Btw, did you get in touch with Douglas Moran about Spidey?

I always thought Psylocke should be shorter, but she' actually one of the taller X-woMen (5'11"). To me, Rogue would be more impressive if she were taller than 5'8". Yet the comics rarely depicted their heights accurately.

Daaamn...this does look nicer than the Marvel Legends figure. And it destroys the Revoltech one in the looks department. As for the straps, eh. Personally, I'd be petty and just cut'em off. Comic cover art or not, if it ain't actually in the pages, what's the point??? Meanwhile, I'd *LOVE* to see Bandai & Tamashii Nations take a crack at Psylocke in the S.H.Figuarts line, like they've done with several other Marvel characters (largely movie peeps, but still...). As for the butterfly, not sure if the comics ever referred to it as such, but it's been part of one of her attacks since the videogame Marvel Super Heroes...called Kouchou-gakure. And yes, she's ALWAYS been a long legged voluptuous seductress. Between that and her ability to kick all kinds of ass, that's why she's my favorite Marvel character (with the main pimp Wolverine being a distant second favorite).

She looks great but at 7.5" she'd be taller than even my Marvel Select Iron Man and Captain America. Is she supposed to be a huge woman these days or something? I used to see her in comics I read years ago (and the Marvel vs Capcom games) and thought she was just an average sized gal. Seems too tall to work in my 7 inch figures collection.
