I think RDJ being Doom is a red herring. He's probably just a Doom variant and not the main Doom. I just don't think he would want to do multiple Marvel movies again.

As a new fan in the Marvel fandom I kinda wonder if Avengers 3 and 4 were also promoted together. Cause if yes, the Doomsday will probably f everybody up like Infinity War did. There were some messed up pieces there but the overall movies were fantastic

Yep m8, Avengers 3 and 4 were promoted together. Most people forgot about it when watching Infinity War but it was pretty obvious The Avengers were going to loose by the end of the movie. What we didn't expect was half of them dying. But today, september 2024, we must expect Doctor Doom to win by the end of Doomsday

What I'm seeing is the Mcu TRYING to get back to what they did best in the past ... Just make exciting movies, with the best possible creators involved. Too much of what they have made since Endgame has had limited appeal to the mass audience ... it all felt pretentious, preachy and bland. There was no momentum, no story that you could see was building towards an epic finale. A LOT is going to depend on how good Captain America and Thunderbolts are ... If they suck, then any forward momentum that Marvel had with D&W will be lost.
