I love how, apparently, when making Darkstalkers, the Japanese execs weren’t sure about what a succubus was(most of the characters were intended to be classic movie monsters of some kind). But when the game’s American lead designer explained it was a beautiful woman who kills you by screwing you to death, he immediately got the ok.

I find her surprisingly good if you pair her with Phoenix Wright or Ghost Rider. Even if it's because of my assist choice, Heartless Spire and Press/Break the Witness. Wright's functions surprisingly good, almost like a corner-specific Hyakuretsu with a wall bounce in Turnabout. And Heartless Spire OTGs, which is something Ms. Aensland lacks, not counting Shadow Servant.

According to the Darkstalker's lore, yes, those are the souls of the men (and possibly women) that she has slept with. However, they supposedly now spend eternity in the most powerful pleasure imaginable, so its not really a "punishment" or bad thing. Its also why Morrigan also tries to only pick "good" men or people who have suffered unduly as her targets, since she wants to improve their lives.

I really really wish that Capcom would add more Darkstalkers characters to the rosters of their Capcom vs games!!! If they aren't going to give us Darkstalkers 4 than they should at least add more DSs characters to games like MvsC other than the same ol' usual choices of Morrigan, Felicia & Hsien-Ko!!! Donovan with his spirit-summoning special attacks & magic sword is tailor-made for a series like MvsC!!! Jon Talbane is another DSs character I'd totally love to see added as well!!! Actually, if you watch the anime of Darkstalkers, she's not only a succubus, she is the Queen and sole ruler of the demon realm.
