It just like when a movie comes out then releases on dvd later. I play on dpad so i dont care for the arcade one. Plus you have the luxury to own the game and it comes with online and extras. I got the ps4 digitally and preordered the switch physical from amazon. I am so happy to be able to play it handheld☺️💕

As an absolutely fan of the marvel vs Capcom series. I will say you are 1000% correct! I was beginning to think that they’re probably only just doing it with this game. But I’m here to say that it isn’t just this game. I recently found out that “Capcom” is doing this same exact method with DRDR (Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster). The digital version is releasing on 9/19/24 while the physical version is coming out on 11/8/24. SMH.

I don't think Capcom wants you to buy it twice, probably, but I don't think so. I think they're testing demand for physical over digital. If the game meets sale predictions on digital, then they can make a smaller number of physical copies. Capcom and other companies are clearly pushing digital. It's cheaper than releasing physical copies and the markup is the same. It's a win for them. A loss for consumers.

I mean yeah it sucks I completely agree. Let’s be honest though.. those OG versions on ps2, Dreamcast, Xbox etc are double the price or more. They put several marvel, Capcom games into one game for $50. I felt victim into falling for the pre orders & digital but it should have been, “if you pre-ordered you will get a code to unlock digital”. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case. Instead of waiting til Nov I bent over like a B! What is there to complain about though? This is the MVC series that has been locked away for YEARS! I’m sure most of you reading this know what I’m talking about. So yeah there’s room to be upset but we have been spoiled with what we just received. Let’s also appreciate it for what it is. Be careful buying physical Switch games at the end of the console's life cycle. Switch 2 might be backwards compatible but, it might not have a Switch 1 cartridge slot (digital library only). Also, keep in mind that Steam games always suffer their first week; no patches and everyone trying to play at the same time. The upside is that 20 years from now, it'll still be on your steam account and run on whatever PC you own. Nintendo and Sony might not even be in the console market by then.

The a physical copy is waaay more superior than the arcade cabinets because it plays the same FPS and you can switch from CRT to 1080p,comes with all the Artwork and secret characters and a 32 page comic if you preorder in enough time, no need to buy those arcade cabinets. They are going to milk the collection. The preorder might close mid October so hurry and get you a copy.

Arcades are the original format before consoles ever came out. The arcade versions aren’t censored either. I get the updated technology but the arcade versions existed first. I prefer having both but Arcades is the nostalgia that started it.

First of all there are several more issues with the digital release. First of all, the filters make the game look darker. Filter H is the only acceptable one. Second, they look no different than retroarch. I am not sure what costs 70 bucks Canadian on it. I have been able to play these games on my PC for over a decade, looking the same way. Anyone and their grandmother has this emulated now. It feels like it's been in a shelf for years and only now during a Capcom release draught they release it. Only thing I liked about it was the fact it recognized and configured the buttons automatically on my 8bitdo M30 controller. That was about it. Save your bandwidth and don't even bother DLing it for free. Not worth it. Capcom deserves 0 dollars for a rom collection ppl can buy from AliExpress.

This collection should've come out 2019 THE LATEST. No new franchises, no final fight sequels Nada. Rom collections are pretty profitable tho because someone did the hard work already for them. RE 4 RE village and RE 7 are the ones I bought. I have them for pc and consoles I own. I got an Xbox controller just for my iPad m4 pro. I got these so I could play them anywhere car camping wherever. Now thoes bastards did patches on all the games that you need internet to start them. So now I gotta hotspot to my phone start the game turn of the hot spot every time I play.
