He's going to use Satsui no Hadou like a weapon though it's more of an enhancement. Satsui no Hadou is a force or power that grows in effectiveness with the moral-state of it's victim (but could also completely destroy the user). Literal translation is "Murder Power" and it's implied in Akuma's lore that eventually he intends to invade the Realm of Heaven and kill the Gods with Satsui no Hadou. "My fists will destroy Heaven itself." In contrast, what Ryu is feeling after that moment is the entire conceptualization of Kung Fu "Empty Fist", but is called Power of Nothingness and is the opposite of it. Murderous Energy Aura basically means the wielder has mastered the Satsui no Hadou and has complete control over it, implying that Thanos is able to use all of the powers capacity, and since he has Titan durability, won't take damage like Gouki will. Weirdly, you can't be inherently evil to use this power or it will completely overtake you (Case in Point, Oni Akuma). So it has to mean MvC Thanos isn't actually morally evil, leaving that territory for Ultron Sigma.

Good to see X being a protagonist after years in capcom's basement. He deserves it. X doesn't need a reboot as they tried to do with that generic shooter Maverick Hunter. X needs a game with some more focus on his development and personality. In Megaman Zero, he talks a little about the centuries of war, saying that the worst thing for him, was when he realized that he didn't care anymore about destroying his enemies, it is just the thing that happens with any soldiers in a war: death becomes something normal, they don't care if someone died in front of them, they don't care if they have to kill more. Not because they are not good people, it is just war's effect.

I've always thought that if zero didn't leave x for his stasis, maybe x would have faced things better. Sure, the desesitization would still be there (everything becomes too much, after all), but x wouldn't be alone to deal with a ruined world. He'd have someone who understands a fellow warrior who has gone through a number of wars and that x ultimately just wants peace, not people who worship him for his contributions. Tbh x at least was able to realize he didn't care anymore and made steps to prevent becoming a monster. The original storyline keiji inafune had for rkmnz with x as the antagonist is terrifying and heartbreaking

It didn't look like that too much when I was a kid, but when I played the Zero series I realized one thing: X and Zero fought for centuries, maybe even more than that, wanting nothing more than peace, they never had a minute to rest, and they died without accomplish what they wanted. It was kinda sad to realize that.

@@lordsakai3450 tbf during the x series, most of the gameplay from x1 to x3 was just jumping from stages to stages with a few cutscenes here and there, and x4 to x5 is only where the situation's gravity was being clarified to the players. And unless you play the x series spinoffs, the zero series had more of the cutscenes and npc interactions, so we get to see more on the effects of the wars. The opening and ending scenes in z1 just.... like, dang. As much as zero's stasis move was kind of selfish, he had something going there for him. Still salty for leaving x by himself, though

Whats interesting to note here is how Sigma/Ultron couldnt use the stone due to not having a stone. But X! who should for all intents and purposes be the same thing could! How very interesting! And no, I don't see this as a plot hole, just something that ties into X's character that he's more than just a machine.

Late, but Its odd because Reploids are known to have souls thanks to Megaman Xtreme 2. I assume since Simga is taking control of Ultron, Ultron hinself doesnt have a soul considering he isnt a reploid.

This is getting into some *deep* Mega Man X lore, but Sigma, and all Reploids for that matter, actually have a soul. It’s called a DNA Soul, and it’s basically an object of data and energy that contains the Reploid’s personality, schematics, memories, basically everything we’d say a human soul has. Then there’s the Cyber-Elf, which is the purest form of a DNA Soul, but that’s well after the canonical destruction of Sigma in the X series.

Total missed opportunity, but the Story Mode should've given us the option on who we want to play as during the fight with Ultron Omega, instead of having Thor and Mega Man X on the first round and the Dante and Captain Marvel during the final, final battle.

It think Thanos was refering to the Asura's Wrath DLC when Asura faces Akuma and... Well... Akuma punched an entire Island onde but in this DLC he destroyed a planet/moon and was fighting a god killer.
