this game has a ton of problems, but ms. marvel as a character isn't one of them if that's what you're saying. Though I do think they should have done what they did with the movies. Have a collection of single hero game and then do the avengers thing, this feels like what they did with DECU. Make one superhero movie and then try to jump neck-deep into the universe and it didn't work.

@@darkmyro Ms. Marvel is an alright character here but you can't deny that you only play as the whole team for two missions. One in the beginning and one in the end. Idk if making single hero games would fix any problems because avengers would still have to make every character feel good/familiar while adding quirks to make them unique to the player. I think the gameplay is great its just the level design and lack of content that's the problem. Plus the bugs and lack of multiplayer direction. Idk what you mean by it feeling like Dceu. Its an Avengers game they don't need to spoon feed us their origin stories. But they did fail at giving us an Avengers story. The story was mostly Ms. Marvel and the avengers featuring X-men ripoffs:The Inhumans. The only thing that can make/break this game is the quality of the new content.

@@christopherwashi I can agree with that, I just thought you might of putting the character down cause dumb reasons, cause I've seen way too much of that in the videogame and comic communities. I'm not saying that the needed origins, what I'm trying to say is that if they made a few good single hero games first and got down the expanded on their heroes and the world there and then jumped on avengers train then we would already be talking about how cool it was that we were saying all the places we had been to in the other games, exactly like in the movies. They would have had more to work with.

@@darkmyro true I can see that. I wouldn't mind a hulk game using this version of the hulk. I feel this game suffers heavily from its reveal being too earlier, then we had radio silence for a few years, first trailer comes out and characters look different from the movies. By the time of the reveal + the gap in Info there were lots of people daydreaming the perfect avengers game and creating high expectations.

This game should’ve been next gen exclusive. The story had some great moments, but it also had a lot of filler missions. Just imagine how bad the game would have played if it originally released earlier in May

Honestly, it’s kinda funny how Marvel keeps trying to do the X-Men without actually doing the X-Men. Think about it; Inhumans are mutants. The world hates the Avengers, the world hates the X-Men. A.I.M. is any one of the many evil corporations that experiment on mutants, heck, they basically have sentinels!

As a big Marvel fan, this game excited me at first (though I did have my concerns). Although I don't regret buying this game as I continue to play it with friends and have a blast, I can definitely see the issues here. It's repetitive, uninspiring, and although the campaign is great, it's just too short. Considering you guys told us about this game in 2017, it should have been a longer campaign. Yes, I know there will be free DLC, but this thing should have been thought out a lot more. A lot of people are losing interest because of this. Hopefully these guys can make a comeback with the future content, but this needs to be done better. If I didn't have three other friends to play this with, I don't know if I'd be interested anymore.

I can't stress enough how much good looking this game looks on a more powerful rig than current gen consoles. The difference between PS4 Pro and my puny 1070 made an world of difference how gorgeous this games looks. Also, the physics of the objects while we are trashing them in combat is an often overlooked asset that it gets a lot more impressive on PC than it was on PS4 Pro for me. Cannot wait until I get to play this on a PS5 / Series X or even a 3070 gpu, the next gen update cannot come soon enough.

Honestly, you guys promised a compelling experience and it doesn’t translate at all. The game, no matter how much I try to enjoy it; is just not good rn. Everyone had there hopes up for Marvel games after Insomniac delivered so strongly with Spider-Man. I rly hope you guys are putting in serious work to overhaul things heading into the PS5 launch, as well as the Spiderman and Black Panther DLC. I literally can’t handle the game play loop. It feels like there is no point in doing anything at all. The writing was unoriginal and stale as well which doesn’t help. I understand things are hard to balance but so many character play styles are boring and don’t fit the core of what makes the character, that character. I shouldn’t feel more powerful as Black Widow than the Hulk. He desperately needs an overhaul. From Combat, to movement, to his role as a Tank being upped. His bound needs to be increased and he needs a faster sprint in the larger outdoor environments as well. Cap, Thor and IronMan play fairly close to how they should to be fair. Although enemy swarm and coordinating your character is still a bit broken for everyone as well. But even with Cap, his movement isn’t there. He needs more of a super sprint in the larger environments. Also, an Avengers game should not be about a spammy game play loop and levelling up/gear upgrades in the first place. RPG elements are fun but it’s not supposed to be the whole game when it’s a story driven brawler; it’s supposed to be an add on. I’ve yet to meet a single person who wasn’t disappointed with this game. I’m only saying this because I WANT it to be good. But it’s just not. It’s so stale. I fire up the game. Go to the war table and sigh. I can’t even compel myself to play it.

A leveled up Hulk is an absolute beast though. Honestly, every character feels a lot better after getting most of their skills. Also, Captain America sprints faster when he uses his shield. I find myself able to keep up with Iron Man quite easily as him.

So far there are at least four confirmed dlc characters which are kate bishop, hawkeye, black panther and spiderman with more to be announced after that.
