Everyone be sure to read the prequel novel Marvel's Avengers: The Extinction Key before playing the game. It's an official prequel story that lead right into the events of the game. It's the Avengers fighting the Zodiac for possession over the Zodiac Key. It brings in this worlds version of Doctor Strange and Brother Voodoo. I've already read it and it really does tie directly into the game. It's AWESOME!!

There’s been a lot of mixed reactions to this game as to how the game will be good overall. I’m a huge critic and I even make videos reviewing things like these, but people should be a little more chill when it comes to judging a game so quickly. Let the game launch, give it a chance, and let’s see how it does, how it plays, and what’s next to come. Just from the beta and leaks alone I’m excited for this game and I haven’t played more than 5 hours yet.

The throwbacks to the original content, for someone like myself who has been introduced with the MCU and is now going back to learn more info, is what really makes me appreciate what CD is doing with this game. And the reasoning behind the actions, even the villains, makes them so relatable and realistic. I already love the beta more than any other game I've played this year, but this(along with the other cutscenes I've seen) really has me excited to experience the story Sept 1st!

My guess is they started writing this game's story back when the Marvel mandate was still "replace the X-Men with the Inhumans," so they probably did just swap out mutants for Inhumans and Sentinels for Adaptoids.

Hi I played some of the beta this weekend and I must say that the game looks amazing! As a marvel fan it's so exciting seeing the avengers making it onto the gaming world. Taking this opportunity, I would like to provide some feedback. Gameplay: 1. Blocking vs Dodging. It felt unfit for Hulk to dodge attacks when he is strong enough to block attacks. Dodging should be for characters that are more fragile like Black Widow whilst tanks like the Hulk should be able to easily block high damage attacks and even deflect projectiles. 2. Jumping. It would be good to allow enhanced jumping whilst the characters are still, rather than when only running. As at the moment characters like Hulk and Kamala can super jump only when running, which makes it difficult to reach high places or platforms which require more precision. 3. Teamwork. Please consider adding the ability to carry other characters on for traversal. For example Hulk could help out another character putting them on his back to jump around the map, or flying characters could grab someone and fly them over to reach more places. Even cooler in the eventuality of adding characters with teleportation abilities who could teleport other characters too. This would really enhance the teamwork experience. 4. Enhance damage resistance/health for tank characters. Hulk is the one I died most whilst playing whilst Black Widow I managed to stay alive the longest. Hulk felt very slow and also unable to block attacks and unable to take hits. He's a tank, he should feel like one. Whilst flexible characters like BW have their upper hand when it comes to dodging and speed, Hulk could have his when it comes to blocking damage and resisting damage. Maps: 1. Please add more depth (areas to grapple on, exploration, tunnels, rooms etc) to the location maps. Some feel very flat and empty with not much to do except beating up enemies. 2. Please higher up the invisibile ceiling. It felt very underwhelming for Ironman to hit an invisible wall at such low highs. Especially during the mission in the city, it was strange not being able to fly over buildings and explore rooftops. 3. More voice conversation between the avengers! They need some voicelines to talk to each other whilst as a team. It felt like they're strangers to each other and only talking when someone needs to be revived. 4. Add damage immunity for characters whose powers are based on certain damage types. For example Hulk should be immune (or highly resistant) to radiation damage (from enemies or from the environment). 5. Make things liftable and throwable. Mighty characters like Hulk and Iron-man should be able to lift, carry and throw objects such as cars etc. That's all I can think of now. The game looks amazing though and I can't wait for the full launch. I really hope future DLC will include diverse marvel characters such as some of the X-Men (Storm is my absolute number 1 favourite). Storm could do so much in this game, the potential is HUGE! I hope you get to read this and that you keep up the amazing work! Best wishes Alex

I like that we’re kinda going away from “typical” Marvel storylines. If you notice lately, in terms of games with an ensemble, Marvel has been pushing a lot of cosmic events, like the Infinity Guantlet in Ultimate Alliance, or Ultron Sigma in MvC Infinite. So it’s kinda cool to see arguably “B and C Tier” villains like AIM, Modok, Taskmaster, and Abomination.

In DC Comics, there's Inter Gang. Like A.I.M. they're known for using advanced weapons to go up against superhuman threats. I wish that was the primary basis form using A.I.M. It looks like here they're mostly presented as an army of Ultron robots.
