Vergil's whiffs are unsafe so if you are confident in punishing, then you can usually get a free hit in. Usually Vergil is covered by assists as a point character so it facilitates his mixups, but depending on your starting character, you can often land a happy birthday primarily because your opponents would often be spamming assists if they are low level players. If not, you can usually just guard punish.

Man I'm glad they let one of Vergil's super moves be super Judgment cut, i always thought that move was legit in DMC 3. But his level 4 Super move... literally blew my mind. They did a damn good job with his moveset on here

DmC: Devil May Cry is a reboot. Not a prequel. That means that (while DmC Vergil is based on the original Vergil) both Vergils are their own characters.

Im not challenging anyone to anything. The fact of the matter is DMC3 brought in a lot of newcomers who didn't realise that DMC3 was the story of a character whos fate had already been written, I played it with this in mind and made my peace with the fact that we will never see him again. People just had trouble letting go because admittedly he was a sick character and his fate was a bit lame.

@L3irus Its the same voice actor from DMC3. Also, the reason's why he probably didn't sound as motivated is probably due to the fact that this is mainly a fighting game that doesn't really focus a lot on dialogue where as action adventure games with a long story like DMC does.

@Kobe847 actually, i play as dante and vergil because i like devil may cry. the fact that i can kill everyone with them is why i only pick one of them anymore. even if i fight someone that spams or button mashes, i can fall back on vergil to show that spam noobs get spanked when they don't fight fair.

Anyone under the impression Vergil's a faster version of Dante but with less special moves save for what he has with Bahamut and Yamato? I mean, you can tell Vergil seems even faster than Dante. He also has a killer Level 3 Hyper Combo, even if he needs to be in his Devil Trigger for it to work. I'm just glad Daniel Southworth, the man who voiced and motion captured for Vergil in Devil May Cry 3 is back voicing Vergil in UMVC3.
