Sir, why didn't you just offset internal during this part 19:51
@TravisDavids7 жыл бұрын
True, i could have done that with offset and put it at a specific value but i just found it easier to draw that line at that particular time.

@ThePixelitomedia7 жыл бұрын
Currently we are evaluating which is the best way to design clothes, animate them and render out a high quality video. I saw many videos and so different solutions but not one perfect workflow. Some making DAZ3D - MD - ZBRUSH - MAYA, or iCLONE - MD - BLENDER - ZBRUSH.... but none showed a why to high-render quality video. If we use MD provided animations we cant render them in keyshot or c4d or? But if we use third party animation, how to import them to MD...
@TravisDavids7 жыл бұрын
I usually use a daz character and rig it with Mixamo to get some animation and movement and if u export a FBX mixamo rig you can import that into MD. If you want to export the garment out with the animation created from the motion of the character you exportn a format in MD called Alembic (HD5F). You will need i think MD5 or MD6 to have access to that format. You can then import that data in C4D and render it with the render of your choice.
@ThePixelitomedia7 жыл бұрын
THANK YOU! finally a good workflow I can use.

so i have tried and tried to make my shadow of my body show in the 2 d window anyone know how come it does not show up? I am new to all this and am sure it is something that i am doing , I am not using the standard shape in the md6 program
@LittleBird21846 жыл бұрын
Anyone able to tell me how to turn down the light in my MD? I have a feeling it has to do with the light anyways because I can't see my seems after I cut and sew. also it just seems like... the material looks more natural in this where as in my MD its more...fake? if that makes sense.

Travis! This software is amazing! I didnt know about it. Let me ask you something, is it posible to generate the patterns in the Marvelous, after designing the garment on the avatar?

did you ever get an answer?

do you have a tutorial on gloves? can you make one?
@TravisDavids7 жыл бұрын
I could put together a tutorial for something like this :)
@jonybravo167 жыл бұрын
I have one question. Why didn't you do the same 'unfold' thing with the leggings as you did with the bra?
@TravisDavids7 жыл бұрын
You can unfold it if you want to as well but if you try and unfold one side of the legging it will just become a single pattern and there won't be any space to create a gap between the legs. You could do this if you wanted to create some type of skirt or tight dress but not for something like leggings or even jeans. It is possible, just a little bit more work. You could do it and then move the middle point created at the bottom and pull it up to create a space between the legs but now you're giving yourself more work because you'll also have to add additional points to shape the pants further. Its easier to do 4 pieces for me personally. Doing 4 pieces or unfolding both work but i find doing 4 pieces better.
@jonybravo167 жыл бұрын
Ah, right. Thanks for answering, dude. These tutorials are the best. I'm learning a lot.

is it possible to make masks and solid stuff in this program?
@TravisDavids7 жыл бұрын
For solid items i would use other programs, the true beauty of this program comes from dynamic drapery with beautiful simulated folds and wrinkles. You can however make balaclava's/ski-masks with this program.

Man, this software is extremely frustrating to use. Everything is so poorly designed in terms of tool convenience and everything is cumbersome and unwieldy.
