I honestly don't think void was the first godhand member. We were also told that 4 or 5 angels were responsible for the fall of the gaiseric so there had to have been a previous god hand. I think it makes more sense that void was what femto is to the current God hand. Their final member and seemingly their most powerful member

I agree, I think the creation of Void as a God's Hand marked a new era in Berserk timeline. I saw another theory saying that the previous 4 "angels" from Skull Knight's time might have been the same 4 elemental gods that Schierke called upon. These god are probably neither good nor evil. Perhaps it's because in the older times when more humans used to be pagan, the gods or angels are just elements, thus they are neither good nor evil. However as the times changed, people have a different concept of god, therefore the angels became more like the biblical 4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse, and they are depicted as evil. After all, in the hidden chapter, it was said that humans created "god" through their collective conscious.

And he's 1,000 years old. So he became the skull knight at the same time the city fell and Void was the one who made the sacrifice. Isn't it that Void sacrificed Gaeseric's (Skull Knight) Kingdom? That scene where he stands in front of all the other Demon God's was his birth or rebirth as the new Demon King? That would fit the story quite nicely and what happened with Guts and Griffith parallels that of what happened between SK and Void. I assume SK betrayed/turned his back on his friend or someone close to him; they despaired and sacrificed the kingdom they thought they loved as much as SK? I don't know about Void starting the whole God Hand business like there was something before or we are not seeing the person then who actually invoked the God Hand ritual then. Anyways, I am still wondering who were the other Demon God's at that time because the current lineup appears to be different now.
