At the beginning of episode 2 when David has the sandy implanted it shows his whole spinal column being removed and replaced by the sandy. If that’s the case, depending on the wiring used in it, the synthetic spinal cord could also transmit neural signals faster than ganic nerves. Increasing his reflexes and the rate sensory signals are transmitted even when it isn’t activated

Well there is always one other thing I like to point out. And this is from Mike pondsmith himself the dude who created the cyberpunk universe. And he said that basically your cyberpsychosis resistance depends entirely on your humanity. Which is an actual feature in the tabletop version of the game. Not so much in the cyberpunk 2077 video game. He even elaborates on it with using Johnny silverhand's silver hand basically saying that at points during mission at arasaka before he died he was starting to have regular conversations with his arm. Yes I am saying he did actually think that the arm was talking to him. Hell his arm was the whole reason why he ended up firing a few rounds into Adam smasher to where Adam smasher thought to himself "what a dumbass" and blasted his torso in half. Mike pondsmith himself also then came out and said that the reason why he doesn't have to worry too much about cyberpsychosis is because of the fact that he shares two minds thanks to the relic. That is the only newest content and developments on cyberpsychosis Mr Smith himself has confirmed. It seems to make V immune or effectively immune to cyberpsychosis. To bad David didn't have such a thing. You might have been able to take on Adam Smasher. He would still die in the end but at least he would be able to go on the blaze of glory that may have even made him a nightcity legend on par with V, or he would basically be V. Dying but everyone knows he runs the city, and the city bows to him.

The Relic gives V the ability to weapnize Cyberpsychosis for short periods. They turn into a laughing maniac during while the whole world perception turns red during.

The Sandevistan David used is Speedware, but is listed under the Neuralware category in the TTRPG. What actually made it special is how fast its cooldown was. Regular Sandevistans (even milspec) can be used for a limited amount of time per hour, but the Apogee seems to have a much lower cooldown cycle. Linnear Frames require 1, 2 or 3 installations of Grafted Muscle and Bone Lace to have something to support them (both these borgware items are why he 'grew' so much, and what took away so much of his sanity). The fun part with his cyberpsychosis progression is that he messed up something similar to a Full-Body Conversion procedure: replacing all your 'meat' with metal piecemeal is more psychologically damaging than replacing it all at once, and imunoblockers are not how you are supposed to adapt to cyberware installations. The proper procedure is to get THERAPY after major installs, not pump transplant medicine like it's synthcoke. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Well, not to mention that the Cyberskeleton was probably something made for use with a borg body, just like the Arasaka DaiOni Power Armor that Smasher used against Morgan Blackhand in the Fourth Corporate War.

I suffer from PTSD I forget what it felt like to feel steady in the moment. I’m hyper vigilant and sensitive all the time I hate it but at the same time it makes me feel safe because my guard is always up my adrenaline keeps me physically numb. I didn’t realize how bad it was until I got the proper meds way later in life. When David was going insane and the build up to it scared me because I was able to relate to that feeling.. I just had to vent and I wish you all the very best of luck, happy holidays.❤

I think it's more likely that he went nuts after he was captured and tortured. Guy was literally trying to cause cyber psychosis in David. Also Arasaka was actively working towards getting David in the cyber skeleton to see how far they could push the human body so they could put it into mass production. Also it was originally built for smasher. This was literally said and talked about through the entire season

The sandy doesn’t slow down time around you it enhances the users, physical speed and strength as well as their brain reaction time which makes them seem faster to enemies, that’s why to us they seem like time is slowing down, but it’s just their body moving super fast and having insane reaction time.

For the motorcycle; look up the Honda NM4 Vultus. I believe the design took inspiration from that particular bike. The Honda NM4 (heavily modified) also appears in the live action Ghost in the Shell.

I feel like it could be more like a cyber sickness. Despite the addition of trauma, he is pretty resistant to the effects of cyberphychosis at the start but gradually grows more insane. Like any sickness, even after exposure to a disease, you may not be effected until an extended period of time. It could also be seen as Cyberpunk's version of gateways that just get you into using more and more cyberwear that causes even more harm to your mental state.

Davids sandevistan Is the apogee because no other sandevistan slows time more even though there was one thst used to back in 1.61 the warp dancer slowed time more i think the spine and all that stuff has a lot to do with the 1.6 hardware like sanddevistan nanorelays and sandevistan heatsink and also kerenzikof

David's sandy has been confirmed to not be an apogee, as mentioned in the video it is a prototype sandy that the writers had described as being tweaked by night cities best techies. It is a unique piece of cyberware.

As the other person said, it’s not an apogee. It’s been stated by the devs that it may have once been an apogee and started out as one but by the time David gets his hands on it it had been so heavily modified that it doesn’t resemble an apogee at all. Much like how Masamune isn’t just a sword, David’s sandevistan isn’t just an apogee.

The Apogee was indeed the closest ingame representation we have to the Sandevistan used by David and within the gamefiles it was also called "cw_system_sandevistanedgerunner". However, one of the devs later admitted that the one David used was not the Apogee but a prototype that was so heavily modified by various techies that it had little in common with the standard version. But yeah, if you're going for a David Martinez build; the Apogee would be your best bet to achieve it. Only downside is that David also used Gorilla Arms and the Projectile Launch System simultaneously; something we can't do as a player. However, it doesn't matter too much as you could simply max out your Body and take the launcher to get a similar effect. 😃 That said, it would have been cool if the player could find this prototype Sandevistan. Now it likely wouldn't be lying in the bush as we saw with Rebecca's shotgun as Arasaka would probably have cleaned the scene after the battle; but it would have been sweet if we could have been able to obtain it during a raid on Arasaka's research facilities or somesuch...

@DanakarEndeel id actually argue that that falcon is a better sandy, while it slows time slightly less and doesn't have as much crit damage the extra heal on kill paired with the 40% extra crit damage from max Shinobi can be better for some builds

@@NixiShavalMusic The Falcon might be a better fit for some builds but I was specifially talking about someone trying to replicate David's build. David wasn't about healing or crit damage; but stamina and speed. As such, the Apogee with its greater slowing of time and stamina boosts seems like a better fit if one were to go for a build that is as close to David's as possible. 🙂 But hey, each has their own preference ofcourse and the Falcon is easier to aquire due to the lower level requirement. For me it was a nice stepping stone when I made my David Martinez build but in the end swapped out my Falcon for the Apogee. To me that really was the better fit lorewise.

Remember Cyberpsychosis is literally just psychosis, the "cyber" part is cause the mind's own affinity for Psychotic Tendencies is amplified by the implantation of Cyberware and the destroying of your own body. It's been confirmed that you can recover from C-Psychosis through therapy .

He would've been very near a full body replace by the end. He was just not using a lot of the techy and hacker mods. A bunch of his body would've had to been replaced just to support that cracked out sandi. Plot armor is the only thing that saved him tbf from that sandi shredding his body at get go.

Now the fact that you brought up deformity seems like you judge people by their appearance. Which honestly just circles back to my original point. No the appearance of cyberware has nothing to do with Cyberpsychosis if it did there would be a lot more cases than I find on the map. One Hypothesis is that it's actually Rogue AI that actually causes Cyberpsychosis.

The sandevistan doesnt slow time thats David's Perspective. The sandevistan just allows signals from the brain to travel faster through the body allowing for quick reflexes. So in David's perspective it appears everything has slowed whilst onlookers will just see a blur.

@@KaitouKaiju Yeah, even at launch I absolutely loved it on PC (even have my own 'shrine' with Cyberpunk figurines and collectibles). Now you could definitely feel that things were missing and some aspects were rushed (like the crafting system) but it was still incredibly well done and enjoyable. However, the 2.0 release and subsequent Phantom Libery expansion really took things to another level. 😃 And even now they're still working on it by adding some nice QoL features like the new cars you can buy, car paint system, and those customizable picture frames. (I just hope the updates didn't break my mods).
