A few errors. Harwin was called Breakbones before his relationship with Rhaenyra in both the book and the show. The scene at the hunt, Viserys calls him Breakbones when Lionel submits his marriage suggestion. Mushroom called him Brokenbones after the tourney where Cole broke his bones in the book.

Honestly kinda wish Rhaenyra had married Breakbones instead. House strong is a very influential house, he's heir to harrenhal and son to the hand of the king and seeing daddy Harwin makes me sad for what could have been. Probably could have avoided the whole dance.

I'd think 4 seasons is the ideal amount for the whole civil war. Especially if they bring in more characters and cover more places in the story. But if they try to condense or speed things up then I wouldn't be surprised if it only goes 3 seasons.

I think the biggest difference between the book and show is the dialogue. The book is told from a few different perspectives and seems to be a narration of a maester. HBO did an amazing job filling in the gaps and adding voices to the characters. The other major difference that I would’ve like to have seen was Mushroom. He sounds like he would’ve been hilarious.

The book has barely any dialogue, we are not in the characters head, so of course it's neutral, because it's a history book. But Alicant's character is similar to how she is seen in the book, with her pushing Aegon to be king and usurp his half-sister's claim to the throne. In the end Alicant and her paranoia is what started the civil war.

So it's just as likely that they would have tried to portray their Green stooges in a better light than what actually happened. One thing none of the review and analysis videos for HOTD are addressing is how in seven hells did Viserys get that form of leprosy that's slowly eating away his flesh. I think he contracted it from his dragon. He contracted that disease when he rode the dragon Balerion, the Black Dread. It's mentioned in the books that Balerion had some skin disease on its scales. Maybe that's how he contracted it.

And we KNOW dragon diseases can infect humans because that little girl with no dragon or training who wanted adventure climbed on the back of the black dread and then he flew away and she disappeared for a year and everyone thought she was dead. But then the black dread showed up with her a year later and she apparently contracted a bunch of diseases because the black dread flew her back to his home where Aegon was originally from. And it said she looked so hideous that only two people were allowed to see her and she was completely unrecognizable. And her flesh was burning up and whenever they put her in cold water to try to cool her skin off worms underneath her skin would scream. So...... I’m was really disappointed with Vaygar’s design in House Of The Dragon because her head doesn’t have the horns like Drogon (maybe because she’s female and he was male) and has that big saggy bit of skin on her neck (maybe because of her age). When I heard we were gonna see Vaygar the second largest dragon to ever live I was excited and hoped she would look like a massive version of Drogon just with different colour skin. What I really despise, disappointed by both HoD and GoT is not giving the Targaryans, Valyrians PURPLE eyes ( they did have orange, green, cyan in ancient Asshai far east )! If the actors wouldnt findt it comfortable with purple contact lenses, then CGI could be an alternative! White/ platinum- blond hair and purple eyes are the foundational, defining trademarks of Targaryians. No excuse " to costly for production "

The problem then would be they would need to do filler content not in the source material, which could have ended up like season 7-8 of GOT. With the time jumps, it's more book accurate. Plus, the book this show was based on has an unreliable narrator who uses two unreliable sources to write about the civil war decades after it happened. So what is written in Fire and Blood, while the broad strokes are accurate, the smaller details are disputed.
