I honestly can't see them scrapping team ups just on the basis that A) they're fun as hell and B) they were shown in the first trailer and are sort of one of the game's bigger, more immediately recognizable mechanics that'll hook casuals away from Overwatch. Plus if Hero A is bad right now because they rely on a team up with Hero B who no one plays that'll just make it easy to sell Hero C who has a new better team up with Hero A and Hero B and is just really good on his/her own! And like... Even if this game wasn't balanced, so long as it had around 10 viable characters you'd know there'd be a scene for it! It's fun, it's a recognizable brand and if Marvel vs Capcom 2's that's more important then game balance.

I think if they ever buff spiderman's numbers, they have to be really careful because his mobility is insane. It's the tracer/genji problem. If their numbers are too high, they completely take over lobbies. Maybe shifting numbers might make more sense, like distributing his damage across all of his abilities instead of loading a lot of it into his overhead attack.

The character synergy idea that OW2 scrapped early is a good way to prevent counter-swapping. If your on a hero that gets countered, but you're in a 3-way synergy; you have to think twice about sacrificing both your powerup AND your teammates powerups.

I personally think he just needs something to help him stay engaged longer in the fight, I just feel like the moment I am tagged, I am immediately concerned for my life. You have to land your shots or else youre going to die lol It's an exciting and engaging loop but I feel cheated when the punisher just whips out the shotgun and thats just my que to go as I am comboing him.
