Abseloutely love how he gives positive notes and finishes on a positive note... Makes going to the next lesson even more confident and more eager to learn. Brilliant teacher.

I'm playing this myself now and watching this (& playing/drumming along on the desk) actually helped! But this kid is really great, I've been playing for five years, I'm 17 now and only as good as him... :D

Fantastic video. I will definitely use the "keep it very clean" chant in the future! I do have one question, though. I'm surprised he did not mention anything about technique. I think the student could play the 16ths more evenly & quickly with some adjustments in his technique. Did anyone else think that?

I wish to be a great teacher too. I know what to teach but I have problems with communication skills, mostly due to anxiety and I just stumble over my words 😅

I`m exactly the same! I get super-nervous before the first lesson with a new student and even more so when their parent ask to stay for the first lesson. But I love teaching!!! :)

Keep the focus and goal of being a great teacher and you'll get there. Keep taking lessons and learn from great teachers. Eventually you'll gain the confidence you need to be great too!

His hands are so fast it's easy to miss the last note he played.

nice2care The damper that mutes the string after it is played did not mute the string fast enough so the hand was off the keyboard before the damper was able to stop the sound. I know this was 3 years ago but nobody really answered your question.
