Hamas may not have lost the war, which is a victory marker for most terrorist organizations, but the most important party to this war lost it, and that party is Gaza, its people. This is in Israel, in Judea and Samaria (the West Bank) there is a military occupation, full of Area C and some of Area B, only Area A has no military occupation. And of course there are human rights violations sometimes (along with violence and acts of terror by the Palestinians against the Jews, which I assume you haven't heard of, if you want I can give you examples). Many people in Gaza would leave immediately but are not being allowed to. I learnt this from a family that left gaza a few months ago. In fact many people have left gaza during this war and relocated.
