I'm glad Mary finally had her say about this commercial that to me was blown WAYYYYY out of proportion. If black celebrities advertising in chicken commercials was such a no-no, where were some of these protesters at when Shanice Wilson (at age 9) sung with Ella Fitzgerald in a KFC ad back in 1982? Or, where were they when LaWanda Page (aka Aunt Esther) was a spokeswoman for Church's doing their commercials.

To keep it 100, I think people overreacted a little bit. It wasn't like she was at KFC singing about buckets of fried chicken and cornbread, she was singing about the ingredients of a sandwich that just so happened to have chicken in it along with other ingredients.
