Indeed! Hollywood doesn't like stories like this. Regardless how incredible it is (this one went beyond Incredible). Preferring instead to vote for CGI loaded films, or cotton candy. They claim to be open minded, in fact, those who vote for the movies will never vote for a movie that makes anyone "uncomfortable".

I could not leave the theater at the end of the movie when this song came on. The lyrics took me all the way back through the whole movie. Mary J's voice reached right in to my soul and touched me. I could feel everything that happened to the characters. Such a sad time and how people were treated. It was just awful. I just wanted to take their pain away. :(

+saraleinemovies Everyone needs somebody like that in their lives, even if their parents won't provide it. I'm glad to hear your son is being raise by someone who truly care for them. Love is what makes a parent, not genetics. I wish more adopted children wouldn't feel objected because their biological parents didn't want them or couldn't keep them for whatever reason. That doesn't mean that they were rejected; it means their true (adoptive) parents very much wanted them in their lives. Everyone deserves to feel wanted, and I'm glad your son has someone like that in his life. :)

This song brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it. The lyrics are amazing, beautiful, important to me. Recovering from a harsh addiction, that wasn’t easy. I fell down as many times as I got up. Every time that I heard about someone passing away, it hurt me so bad. The people I knew who were addicted as well as myself, became family to me. The overdose is/ was overwhelming. The part in the song that says, SO MANY DON’T SURVIVE THEY JUST DON’T MAKE IT THROUGH, is what brought the tears down. I couldn’t breathe that’s how much pain I felt. For those that don’t believe in God, I wouldn’t be here testifying if there wasn’t a God!!!! I’M THE LIVING PROOF.. GLORY BE TO YAHWEH FOR ALL HE HAS DONE FOR ME!! FATHER THANK YOU FOR KEEPING ME!!! REST IN PEACE AND MY CONDOLENCES 💐 TO ALL THE PEOPLE WHO STRUGGLED TO OVERCOME SUCH A DEADLY DISEASE!!!

This is an amazing song! My son was in the hospital for 50 days recently fighting to live through RSV. It almost took him out several times. I listened to this song over and over during his battle to live. It is as though it was written to tell his story so when we got home, I made a DVD presentation documenting his journey to survive. He literally had to learn to breath again and with the help of a trach tube and ventilator, he is still alive and spreading inspiration to everyone he meets!

Yes my life has been painful. It's been uphill climb. Yet. Still in all. I'm here. I made it. I guess that makes me living proof but all things are possible if only you want them to be so. Great movie 💕❤️💕 Never give up

I am Thai (Asian) and my colour is brown. When I was a child, I was bullied and teased by friends and they called me "Ai Dum" which means "blacky" or something that's bad for them and they didn't like it. But not as bad as in the movie. I was so pleased and sadistic to see the white girl eating a shit pie becoz I was so into the movie and full of hatred to see those girls did such shameful things to those black women. That was just happened while watching the movie. Racism should be wiped out from this world... Love the movie so much and it's so emotional..

Gavy Jay Amornsirithada The movie truly makes you laugh and cry....although this was a movie, the truth is this was the reality for the "help" in those days! And racism hasn't went anywhere, it's still breeding out of control hatred! Take care my friend!

My favorite line in the movie. She looks at the little girl and she says these words💯 you are kind you are important etc. Perfect ending for a beautiful story 🙂

I’m here after seeing the Help on Netflix...I saw it years ago, and the memories are so Beautiful. All the things happening in this world is so sad that nothing has changed. So much anger and frustration!!! I’m not upset with the riots. The riots are years of pain and bondage! I hope it continues! I hope the freedom of expressing it is enough will continue until the world wake up! Black people do matter👊🏾

This song moved me from the very first time I heard it in the movie theatre. I thought a nomination was a sure thing. It certainly deserved it. It was also an appropriate song choice for the Hurricane Sandy benefit concert. Great job, MJB!

This song helped me deal with leaving an abusive relationship. It brought tears of joy as well as tears of pain all in one. Now years later I am a stronger person, and I can look at my past as growth, and not regret.

I have watched this movie too many times to mention. But recently coming out of a two year emotional abusive relationship, I feel as though this song was written especially for me. I have it on repeat all day, everday to help me get by. Thank you so much! You will never know how much it means to me.
