I was at this concert in Miami for my 50th birthday weekend celebration 3/11. This was a gift from one of my friends to go to this concert!! The BEST BIRTHDAY EVER!!😁😍😁 Everyone was good but Mary killed it!! It was cold and it and rained but people were still out there and we stayed until Mary left the stage!! Sadly, I am not what you would call a big Mary J Blige fan. I mean, I truly respect her hustle and what she has done in the game. She's iconic and still relevant after all of these years. My preference has always been for stronger vocalists (Ke Ke Wyatt, Jazmine Sullivan, Angela Winbush, Teena Marie, etc); but I (hands down) ride with Mary's live performances. Went to see her in concert once and the experience is still etched in my memory. She does not cheat an audience when it comes to effort or passion. I can't tell you how many times she made me (a twenty-something year old, straight, black man...jk😂) weep like a baby with her emotional riffs and vamps. Wait! Maybe i am a fan after all LOL!!!
