G’day Lance. The weather looks amazing up there. I just had to turn on the ducted heating down here in Melbourne 🤦♂️

Turquoise colour of the water is from rock dust or rock flour in the water reflecting the sun rays. The best of colours. Yaay!

wow, its sure changed since my days up there mate..we carted a swag of gear back to brissy on our way back from darwin in the 80's..I believe some of the ore digging gear was buried in the pit but not 100% sure of that..

When I was there in 1990 you could see the remains of some dump trucks and other machinery just sticking out of the water, however there appears to be a lot more water in there now, so I don't know if they were eventually cleaned out, or if they are still there deeper under the water.

I notice no fish or anything in there.

These videos are fantastically interesting Lance, thanks for sharing all this with us. Is that beautiful blue water radioactive if it was a uranium mine? The weather looks great, better than the English weather.

They say it is just from the minerals leaching out but I notices very few birds or fish in the water.
