Professional boxing is popular, has always been and is designed to be that way. She clearly cares only about Pro boxing than Amateur boxing if she doesn't know who Mary Kom is. I doubt if she knows any of the white champions also, unless they have been in Pro boxing scene. I don't think it is a race thing, it is just her indifference to Amateur boxing.

As several people pointed out in your Mary Kom Review (with Achara) and Trailer reaction (Achara & Anna), Mary Kom is 6 times World Champion. She holds the world record for being the ONLY FEMALE BOXER to have won six world championship gold (her 6th in 2018) and MOST GOLD OF ALL TIME (male/female) tying with Cuban Felix Savon. Even if the video you're reacting to is from the time she had won her five gold, you could have at least amended the title and said something, considering you do search info sometimes during your reactions. Six times world champion is rare. So proud of her. It's not surprising that she is from Manipur. There are only two types of Manipuris, they are either sports person themselves or 100% sports supporters. If one is selected for a national or regional level tournament and the local sports body has no money to send him/her then the local sports club will simply organise a donation campaign and people will voluntarily donate. I even know of couches who would take loans to take his/her students to tournaments. That's how this tiny and poor state has produced so many national and international champions.
