I love the fact that there's finally a Vegan/Vegetarian cooking show that uses simple, everyday ingredients. But more than that, it's not just the recipes that this particular family--or any family shares, they also share WHO they come from. And the stories that are told by the older generations in families are priceless. Mary McCartney shares all of that with her audience. Personal family histories are priceless and are the stuff of things that are treasured and should be passed down from one generation to the next. Love it!

Correction. It's usually Vegans who can be judgmental to meat eaters. Vegetarians not so much. I've met quite some vegetarians at mexican restaurants that asked me if the refried beans have lard. Thank goodness no. Very few mexican restaurants in my area that don't use lards in the beans.

I never knew Mary McCartney was the daughter of Paul and Linda McCartney. I always thought Paul and Linda were married but voluntarily childless.

I thought Mary's real last name was Sheridan, but used McCartney as a partial pseudonym in reference to Paul. As with Stella, James and Heather, I thought they were all unrelated people with the same last name.

I thought they were all unrelated people with the same last name with most of their names being pseudonyms. (Todd being born as Herman Todd Fisher, III; Joely being born as Jessica Schneider; and Tricia Lee being born as Tricia Lee Jones.)
