It's reasonable for the mother, whom the Son loves so much, to be elevated. Their mother-son relationship was such that disrespecting the mother also disrespects the love of the Son towards His mother. To venerate is not the same as to worship. People ask many things from the Lord but fail to discern God's Will. Mary's prayers definitely align with God's Will. Hostility & rancor toward Mary are something shared between both the devil & many Protestants.

This has been the first time that I heard such a clear and thorough explanation of the subject matter. I talked to quite a number of, mainly Roman Catholic believers. They never could explain to me why they have this rather peculiar view on Mary. I really appreciate that teaching. It broadens my horizont. However, I still do not understand what it implies. Protestants certainly have forgotten about that at all, that's for sure. However, I still don't see any bases in the Bible that would justify to go to the extreme like calling upon her the way we call upon Jesus or the Father in prayer or singing hymns to her etc. So is it then simply our view on her perse that needs correction rather than finding a biblical justification to worship her the way we worship God alone? Because the latter is certainly not the way to go.

We do not worship Mary. We give her the respect due her being the chosen woman by God the Father and God the Son and God the Holy Spirit to be the mother of God! Mary deserves respect. I know that you always say "we do not worship Mary". Fair enough. Lets not call it that way. But you do call upon her as you call upon God. In other words you talk to her in prayer. In some prayers people do prostrate before her, sometimes represented in form of a statue. So tell me, what then is the difference between worship and veneration? And, I do repect her, and do well acknowledge her as what she is. From what I can see in the scripture that doesn't imply to call on her in prayer for help or prostrate before her. I will say that this is the only Scriptural basis I’ve ever heard concerning veneration of Mary, and I can agree with 99% of it. I don’t think Protestants would have such an issue with it outside of the “perpetual virginity and sinlessness of Mary”. Those two Catholic beliefs are so clearly refuted in the Bible(I’m sure you’re aware). Mary gives a sin offering after Jesus’ birth. One does not give a sin offering if there is no sin. Mary as well refers to Jesus as her Savior. A sinless one would not need a savior. And Jesus has brothers, it’s almost certain with the history we now know, so the perpetual virgin belief is as well refuted. Though this point is of way less concern than sinlessness. Why? Jesus died for man’s sin. To do this He became a man. One human parent and one Devine. If Mary is sinless than she was not human, and Jesus’ death would not have paid for the sin of man(bc He wouldn’t have been a man but fully devine). It’s basic Biblical logic, just as you used here. I really hope to hear you address this one day, as you’re now perpetuating these views(though as stated I can agree with 99% of what you covered today). This is not exegesis this is eisegesis. You're reading into the text that Mary is the Queen of heaven taking huge leaps in congecture. Bathsheba did not become a Queen from giving birth Solomon. Bathsheba became a queen from marrying king David. Upon David's death she did not cease to be Queen hence the shared throne. Are you suggesting that Mary was the wife of God? Jesus never referred to her as Queen the apostles never referred to her as Queen. Jesus never commanded we pray to her or anybody else except God. The apostles never suggested we pray to anybody else except God in Jesus name.

Mary Blessed among women ....he started the distancing at the start of his ministry Jesus wasn't having any Queen mother thing going on. In the Old testament, there were approx 6 queen mothers who advised the her son, the King. Jesus made it clear her role wasn't to advise him and called her not Mother but "woman". At the cross he said clearerly "John behold your mother" not mine yours John would he not have address her as his Mother if the role was that she has to have. But her title is blessed among women and she is.

Queen Mothers were only functional as Queen when the reigning King was yet to be married. David's song in Psalms 45 is clear about this. See that in context, the King spoken of here is married, therefore, his wife is referred to as the Queen and not Queen mother. In comparison to Jesus, this is in no way talking about Mary as the Queen nor Queen mother. The Church is the bride of Christ. The Church is to be the Queen of Heaven and not Mary. Mary is a part of that church and nothing more. That's why the Queen bows to worship the King i.e. the Church worshipping Jesus their king. All these unnecessary sermon just to paint Mary as Queen is uncalled for. Mary, Queen of Heaven and yet John in island of Patmos did not see her in his vision that brought about the book of Revelation? You gat to be kidding me. Like plants without water or sunlight they brought their own destruction because they worshipped the wrong spiritual source. God was not happy at their idolatry. But in relation to the development that you have done in this video there is also the song of songs chapter 6 verses 8 to 10 and which reminds us of the chapter of Luke where Elisabeth older than Mary praises her and in addition she is filled with the Holy Spirit and calls Mary: "The Mother of my Lord" = Mother of God. But there is also a little word that speaks volumes in Elisabeth's sentence, prompted by the Holy Spirit: "How is it GIVEN to me that the Mother of my Lord should come to me?" The canticle of canticles also recalls that daughters of kings, queens say blessed to THE QUEEN and they praise her, it also reminds Elisabeth who said to Mary: "Blessed are you who believed" but also the prophecy: "All the generations will call me Blessed!" and joins the beatitudes when Jesus enumerates all the happy: "Blessed are the pure in heart..." Psalm 45 is also linked to Psalm 2v9 by "the iron rod" which is also in Revelation 12v5 I'm very happy for the Grace that our God give you to learn us the truth reading of Gospels ! I did not see an analysis or allusions to Jeremiah 44 (God prohibiting and even being upset with the cult to the Queen of heaven)! Neither Luke 11:27-28, John 2:4, John 19:26. Really good Bible passages like Psalm 45 that you brought up though, I did not know it! Then I heard several times Sam saying "how much more would you think?" and such phrases, calling "logic"...Those are just assumption for things he would like to be in the Bible but there are not there! Of course, Miriam/Mary was blessed and honor by God and has a special place in the Kingdom. Besides it, she was an example to All of us who believed in Jesus the Lord. However, rather than veneration and honor, what the roman institution does is at minimum disrespecting her by calling her by the same title that a pagan goddess like Ashtoreth or Astarte among the many names that such entity received (the same spirit that had, according to some of the oldest cuneiform tablets, had the power to convert men in women and vice versa). Then, making "images" of Mary. one day she is white european (hey I have Middle Eastern friends that are Caucasian in appearance) another day/location she is very dark skinned, then she (an image that resembles the apparition from Guadalupe) appears on a wall (yes in my hometown-it was a stain cause by humidity) and people go and pray to that image and put candles for her/it. Additionally, you have Fatima apparition, which, according to the first account by the only survivor, that being of light never said to be Mary. It was his uncle who suggested it was Mary, and then the catholic church forbade this nun to speak about the case for 10 years, and then, boom! sold as an apparition and miracle! The Bible says "Take hid, do not be deceived", Jesus emphasized that several times! For satan himself masquerades as an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:14). So, would Jesus be pleased by people making images of her earthly mother whatever appearance and skin color they imagine, whatever custome they imagine, and saying things they want her to say? or by a so-called "pope" saying Mary is co-redemptrix of humanity...what? that she ascended to heaven (that's not in the Bible) Also, mainly when a lot of these images resemble or are based, or are the same, as those used for representing Isis and Osiris, Semiramis and Tammuz, Anahita and Mithra. @@mikebrink3088 It describes a "Woman" giving birth to Jesus as wearing a "Crown of Stars" this is showing she is a queen because she is wearing a crown and that there is a celestial relationship because of the stars. We know this woman who gives birth to Jesus is Mary because the chapter is talking about persons not just symbols. It mentions Jesus, Satan, and Michael the archangel (near the end). These are not symbols but persons and so to make the chapter make sense semantically then the "woman" who gave birth to Christ would be a person as well. The person who gave birth to Jesus is Mary and so therefore this passage is talking about Mary and her wearing a "Crown of stars". There many other reasons why this "Woman" is Mary. Let me know if this helps. “And a great portent appeared in heaven, a Woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars; she was with child and she cried out in her pangs of birth, in anguish for delivery. . . . [S]he brought forth a male child, one who is to rule all the nations with a rod of iron, but her child was caught up to God and to his throne. . . . Jesus is King according to the House of David. In the Davidic kingdom, the mother of the King was referred to as the “Gebirah” (Queen Mother) and was given a high place of honor after the King. Mary is the Mother of the King, which makes her Queen.
