I think what Sabine needed was confidence in herself, knowing that Ahsoka had her back, completely, and a true life and death cause to fight with her adopted family. These things opened her up to her existing connection to the use of the force. She was always willing- she just needed a bit more belief and enforced confidence. Great conclusion.
@EmanueleCorsi Жыл бұрын
To understand Baylan's last scene you should watch the so-called "Mortis arc" in The Clone Wars animated series. It's just 3 episodes if I'm not wrong, but among the most praised in the whole series, featuring Anakin Ahsoka and Obiwan stranded on an unknown planet. The arc helps to explain the giant sculpted faces, the strange owl who's often seen around Ahsoka (we had a glimpse of her in the final scenes of this episode) and what probably is Baylan's intent. You won't regret it, we all just jumped from our seat when we saw those faces ;)

I think Sabine had an advantage that none of the padawans we have seen since the fall of the Jedi had. She grew up with the force. She had Kanan, then Ezra, and finally Ahsoka. She was there for Ezra's training. Most new force users don't have s problem accessing the force but struggle to believe in it. Sabine grew up believing in the force she watched it work everyday her issue was learning how to access it. So once she's did she's knew the assisted force jump was possible. She's still not that strong. Ahsoka would have gotten Ezra behind the troopers on the deck. but the point is she didn't lack the faith because she always knew it was possible

I feel like Sabine's force use is more an internal mental block. For some like Luke, he had to incrementally get better because he kept putting up new blocks after making progress. Where others like a dam, once their flood gate of doubt is removed, it flows quickly for them.

You mention that you didn't think the force push by Sabine was possible. Good call. That's because it shouldn't have been possible. The entire show they had set Sabine up as being incredibly weak in the force, to the point of displaying no abilities at all, until 5 minutes before that force push. I think they should have left it at the lightsaber grab. I was cool with that. It was expected, considering they did have the Sabine is a Jedi now, plotline. But I liked her as potentially a very weak Jedi. Even Huyang said she was the weakest he had ever seen in 20,000 years. How do you go from that to one of the most powerful live action force moves we've seen. It's like watching someone learn to ride a bicycle, complete with training wheels. They finally take of the training wheels and are staying up all wobbly. Then 5 minutes later they enter the Tour De France, and get in the top 5. Worse, Sabine is already a Mandalorian, who is basically bulletproof. Anytime she is shot at she already deflected the blast with her shoulders. She is an explosive and electronic expert as well, as we saw in Rebels and this show. And now, a seemingly super powerful Jedi. All along I was defending Sabine saying that she was weak in the force, so she wasn't a Mary Sue. I can't use that defense anymore. She seems set up to absolutely be a Mary Sue. How can she be anything other than that now. I think it was a bad direction for her character. Unless she stays in that other galaxy. In which case it wont really matter. Or turns evil, but I don't really see that happening. Though, it would be fitting, since her selfishness sort of lead her to Peridea in the first place. But they haven't forshadowed that, and she seems happier than ever, so probably not a Sabine Sith development. One last thing: The force push is surely a tip-of-the-hat to Rebels, where Ezra and Kanaan often used it. That is surely what the writers were winking at. Still though, it has created all these narrative and continuity problems. I think it was a bad call, (unless they have something up their sleeves, that we just don't know yet).

I am one of the script and the script is with me..... Now the heroes get to understand what it feels like ESB style. Heir to the Empire has to happen now.... so Thrawn was always getting out. Q: Why did you bring a sword to a gun fight? Sabine: I'm Mandalorian Beeyotch! Both, both is good! 1. Now we have a really large library of force power undead: Sith Spirits, Jedi Force Ghosts, Inquisitor Gas-wraiths, Night Trooper/Nightsister Fast Zombies, and Death Trooper Deadites. ALL CANON!! 💀💀💀.... All we need now is Luke's first legends girlfriend doing possession after escaping into a Mainframe. 2. The force has never been required for deflecting. Blaster bolts, as proven by the mandalorian royal guard who can deflect and redirect blaster bolts with nothing more than pikes. ( But yes it does help) 3. The one time in the entire Star Wars saga that a lightsaber's ability to EASILY dismember would be useful. And they don't use it against the zombies..... [facepalm] 4. Baylan standing on Peridia's LOTR Argonath of the Mortis Gods, Before the father the son and the ruins of the daughter..... he HAS to be Hearing the call of the mother, Abeloth. ( Never listen to the Eldritch Ancient whispers. They always go badly.) 5. Even though we know they do Necromancy, all of the Dathomiri casket pods have lights and power on them. That makes me think they could simply be hibernation sleep pods, which would be a thing before the age of hyperspace travel. Carbonite has been used in many different ways.... Look at the council of Taris (SWTOR). Morgan It is responsible for repoculating her planet Dathomir!

Others have mentioned this, but here are some further details. Baylan might be seeking out a force entity known as Abeloth. She is chaos incarnate and has very recently been associated with the Mortis "gods" of the Force: The Daughter, The Son, and The Father; light, dark, and balance respectively. At first she lived in the center of the Star Wars galaxy (or something like that) in the old books. The idea of her being canonized is intriguing but also frightening.

37.5c = 99.5f. Typically not one most people would be overly concerned about, but it depends what your natural normal temperature is. The "average normal" in F is considered 98.6, but my natural normal is just a bit under 97. So if I have a temperature in the "natural normal range" im actually running a fever of about 1.2C. Any time I change doctors I have to make sure they are aware of this. They always doubt it, until they have my records available or have seen me healthy multiple times. Ahsoka and Sabine have the goodwill Ezra built with the Noti, and we have Master and Apprentice, and a seriously capable droid, and a ship which has a functional hyperdrive. Ezra didnt have friends when he arrived here, and I don't believe Thrawn had functioning hyperdrives when he arrived. Overall, I'm instinctively goving Ahsoka + Sabine an upper hand over what Ezra or Thrawn had upon arrival. As far as the jump, and Sabine's training. If you loom to Episode I (The Phantom Menace) in the time it take the "destroyers" [Droideka] to turn, Qui-Gonn and Obi-Wan have already put 100+ meters extra bwtween them. Obi-Wan used the force to boost himself up to slay Darth Maul. If you look to Episode V (The Empire Strike Back) Luke, with incomplete training, leapt out of the carbonite freezing chamber, much to Vader's surprise, and actually held his own against Vader in a lightsaber duel for quite some time, whough from the perspective of linear time, he had what? 2 months of training between Obi-Wan starting him on the path and the time with Yoda up until then? Desparation can, at times, be the most focusing teacher.

My guess on how they will replace Stevenson is that they'll do a Dr Who style body transformation from whatever force-power he's seeking. That scene with him just made me think of Lord of the Rings, with their massive mountain-statues and the Eye of Sauron flashing in the distance. Yes, I know it has to do with the Force gods revealed in Rebels. Just that with the Narnia-like title and its symbology (Lion/Jedi, White Witch/Green Witch, Wardrobe/Warlord) and similarity to Tolkien's stories, it's nice to see those comparisons. Not "stolen" from them, either. Because in storytelling/literature, there are only 36 possible plots. Which means we humans have been "ripping off" past stories for millennia 😄
