Man, thanks for the video. I just picked up my pistol today and was tearing it down to see how it works and I could not get that pin back in. It took me several minutes to finally get it to go in and I didn't realize it was because of the barrel falling down. Your video was very enlightening and will hopefully make my life much easier in the future.

Thanks for posting this. You saved my bacon on the reassembly with that upside down trick. Love the weapon, hate the pin. Worse than the SIG P238 pin.

Thanks for showing the best way to get that pin in. It was very frustrating the first time.

Appreciate the grip options working w gravity; that you showed - thank you! I’ve twirled unsuccessfully for way too long - I surrender, back to the armory to see if a pro has better technique than I. New M-Slim, 1st pre-range field strip. UGH!

Many complain about how difficult it is to get the pin out and I don't even touch it, I just put the gun down and move it a little and the pin just falls out without any difficulty. Very good and pretty gun. It's my favorite for concealed carry.
@boscoman693 ай бұрын
On some of the newer guns the pin can be tight. But yes, after a few times it will just drop free.
@stephenschroeder6567 Жыл бұрын
Agree with all - the take down process and reassembly of that pin could be much better. That said, it is a great pistol with an outstanding trigger. I added Talon Pro grips which gives me an even better purchase. It has also become my EDC.

Noting else from a major company is so inexpensive. Taking common CZ 75 mags was smart although I think that takes it out of the micro nine niche. Still thinner than an XD 9 or Glock 26 though.
@jc-rq8or11 ай бұрын
If you turn the gun over, the pin should fall right out. Unless it's brand new, then you might have to lightly tap it. The first few times I took mine apart I hated it, but now I can do it like nothing.
@mdubb4855 Жыл бұрын
Can you come up with a method that doesn’t include placing your finger or thumb in the trigger guard with hand in front of the barrel? Someone, somewhere, someday is going to forget to empty or forget to finger check the chamber and miss a round. Then we could be one clumsy fumble away from a hole in the hand.
@boscoman69 Жыл бұрын
You cannot remove the pin/ slide without removing the magazine and ensuring the gun is unloaded. The slide has to be locked back to remove the pin. At that point you would have to be blind not to see a round in the chamber.
@mdubb4855 Жыл бұрын
@@boscoman69 that’s excellent. It’s bumped up a couple of notches on my wishlist. Is the hand grip thinner than the Glock 26?
@boscoman69 Жыл бұрын
Yes the grip is more the size of what you find on a Springfield Hellcat. A lot of women find it very comfortable to shoot because of the size of the grip. I had been carrying a full size Jericho before the Slim & really find it a joy to shoot.@@mdubb4855

I agree. Any handling of a firearm that is still fully assembled should never include any part of your body being placed in front of the muzzle. Although it was checked and determined to be clear and empty I just feel putting parts of your body in front of the muzzle might just create an inadvertent lax approach to firearms safety. I want one of these Masada’s.
@womack132410 ай бұрын
no part of your body is in front of the muzzle Go to iwi disassemble to see how it's properly done. I had this pistol for about 18 months and put about 1500 rounds through. the pin removes and reinserts easily just remember flat side up toward the slide when reassembling I love it now my edc. I do upside down the pistol to avoid barrel drop when replacing the pin ,the more you do it the easier it gets.@@somedayzo6

The takedown process seems archaic. The pin could be dropped/lost etc. IMHO a bit of an engineering slip in development. Otherwise seems like a good firearm.

Thank you for not editing the video to mislead. I has a 1st hrm Walther CCP worst take down ever. This is a bit better. Its a shame bc the IWI is a nice pistol

Yes, very helpful. Thanks. I nearly had a nervous breakdown trying to do it the way the IWI said to do it. Pushing from the front end is the only "easy" way to do it. PS - what moron designed this in the first place?

As far as I'm concerned the only disadvantage to this gun is what you see here on the video. The pin is a pain to deal with.

IWI designers must have been smoking crack the day they talked about and decided the disassembly. It is rather dumb, clumsy and ill-advised to have a loose piece that, once lost, leaves you with a nonfunctioning handgun.

Terrible take down design
@boscoman69 Жыл бұрын
I won't deny that it is a pain. That said the gun is still a great conceal carry. So in the grand scheme of things I can live with it. It also does get easier the more you do it & the idea behind never having to touch the trigger is still a good concept.
@wildwest543610 ай бұрын
Totally agree. I'm a diehard Glock guy but wanted to try something different and stuck a Holosun 407 on it. Like the way it shoots but MAN! Pain in the ass on the take down. This is going to take some getting used to for sure.
