Some of the duels can be pretty tough. While I don't often use it in group combat, I find lock-on is handy for single combat. It keeps you facing your opponent when you dodge and makes it easier to follow up with a counter attack when they miss you. The multi stab attack is also good since it will close a lot of range and seems hard for NPC's to block.

You haven't missed anything with Lady Masako's Quest I played them in order And the outcome is always the same Wether you do them in order or not Exept for that bit of dialogue info where she mentions the part you did when you skipped ahead, which was cleverly done by the game producers For the option to do them in any order And still maintain the relevance of the story
