I love the fact that they’re being filmed in the middle of nowhere. It makes it seem as though the music exists outside of the bounds of our material world, apart from the tragedy and suffering of civilization. the sound has such a primordial draw and it always seems like this kind of music coveys so much more passion and human emotion than any other genre. And it carries such an overwhelming feeling of peace and serenity, it overwhelms my senses but yet I am in a complete calm. Truly beautiful.

@@hneemann Not necessarily. The history and social history of a music style or instrument, its travels through time and place, are fascinating and interesting, they helped shape it the way it is now. Nothing grows in a void, we all grow within the culture we were born from, even if we are open to influences by other cultures. Lack of borders, acceptance of others, tolerance and friendship, artistic collaborations and fusion doesn't mean you have to make everyone the same, and lose our roots, because our roots are part of who we are.

The word "kamancheh" means "little bow" in Persian (kæman, bow, and -cheh, diminutive).[7] The Turkish word kemençe is borrowed from Persian, with the pronunciation adapted to Turkish phonology. It also denotes a bowed string instrument, but the Turkish version differs significantly in structure and sound from the Persian kamancheh. There is also an instrument called kabak kemane literally "pumpkin-shaped bow instrument" used in Turkish music which is only slightly different
