I love the fact that they’re being filmed in the middle of nowhere. It makes it seem as though the music exists outside of the bounds of our material world, apart from the tragedy and suffering of civilization. the sound has such a primordial draw and it always seems like this kind of music coveys so much more passion and human emotion than any other genre. And it carries such an overwhelming feeling of peace and serenity, it overwhelms my senses but yet I am in a complete calm. Truly beautiful.

The irony is this music was recorded in a studio, talking about material world, and someone decided to shoot on location but the music was pre recorded. Nice music but lack of spontaneity.

Discussions about politics, religions, borders, etc can divide us. But music is a good way to unite our hearts.

@@hneemann Not necessarily. The history and social history of a music style or instrument, its travels through time and place, are fascinating and interesting, they helped shape it the way it is now. Nothing grows in a void, we all grow within the culture we were born from, even if we are open to influences by other cultures. Lack of borders, acceptance of others, tolerance and friendship, artistic collaborations and fusion doesn't mean you have to make everyone the same, and lose our roots, because our roots are part of who we are.

tebeloy The needs in the Middle Eastern natural resources is decreasing thankfully to the fast development of the modern science and technology. Now productive agriculture is of the greatest importance. And this importance is growing exponentially! Pretty soon Middle East will be forced to eat and drink its "natural resources". Above all the modern agriculture exists predominantly in "white" countries and Israel. Thus, nowadays it looks madly unwise to course "white" people and Israelis as well.

As an American living in the green part of Northern California, it is something to see delicate and beautiful music being created in such a stark landscape. To me, it shows, no matter how dreary things may be, beauty is always avialible if you stop, listen and let it be.

Jack Sprat in truth, that part of the world and the desert may seem “dreary” and “stark” at a distance/first glance but closer up one quickly feels and sees that it too is teaming with life and beauty; albeit one must reorient and retrain one’s eye and heart to pick up on it, when/if they are used to greener landscapes.

Как же прекрасна восточная музыка! Внутри меня все оживает и трепещет, когда я слушаю что-то подобное! Никакая другая музыка не вызывает во мне столько эмоций! Мои мусульманские корни дают о себе знать) Спасибо!

The word "kamancheh" means "little bow" in Persian (kæman, bow, and -cheh, diminutive).[7] The Turkish word kemençe is borrowed from Persian, with the pronunciation adapted to Turkish phonology. It also denotes a bowed string instrument, but the Turkish version differs significantly in structure and sound from the Persian kamancheh. There is also an instrument called kabak kemane literally "pumpkin-shaped bow instrument" used in Turkish music which is only slightly different

Music from dreams, music from the stars, music from a river of light and twisting shadows upon a cosmic wind. Music from the feathers of the phoenix, from the mane of the manticore, played upon the scales of dragons as they fly between planets of fire.

This music gives me an image of all the Mamaluk Turks who were captured when they were young and joined the Muslim ranks. Big respect for these hardened worriers.

It's not a bendir, it's a duf/daf/def, played in Iran and Iraq and other countries nearby. The bendir is a North African frame drum with wires under the head that vibrate when played. A snare drum type sound.
