Masc Goth Styling Tips | Basics of Dressing Goth

Hello, and welcome to or welcome back to my channel! In this video, I listened to a comment I received about styling tips for dressing goth in a more masculine/masc way or androgynous way. My typical style is pretty androgynous so I figured I would style some clothes I already own for this video! I also mention a lot of musicians who can help inspire your next thrift trip. I'm sorry if this video is a bit of a mess, I did not really plan it out, I just wanted to start filming. I hope it at least gives some inspiration, even if the tips are pretty basic!

As a goth man I'm absolutely sold on a fishnet undershirt with a tanktop over it like your wareing in the video, I like to add a vest and some jewelry on top.

I was going to add musicians like London After Midnight, Nosferatu, Astrovamps, Christian Death, Patricia Morrison, who I think was married to Vivian. She was also with Sisters of Mercy for a while. You have some excellent tastes in music! I know I'd never cut up my vintage rock n' roll shirts simply due to they are hard to replace with originals (not reproductions). I might DIY reproduction rock shirts as those are easier to find. I'm more into plain shirts (nothing edgy) nowadays. I've never thought to add safety pins to a cut up shirt. I'll definitely have to try that sometime. 😊 I do make tops from fishnet panty hose and it fits better than what I bought new off the rack over 26 years ago. The fishnet tops I bought years ago were stiff and uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time, although I loved them at the time. 😊 And none surprising my first fishnet tops by Morbid Threads and Lip Service never softened after repeated laundering/wearing. And the stretch of the fabric wasn't much to my recollection.

I wore a black dress before at the goth club few times. I’m goth Darkwave and love wearing whatever since high school. Black doc Martin boots, black lip service leggings with skulls and a pair of black shorts over that, black shirt or my joy division shirt or Bauhaus Xmal Deutchland siouxsie shirt, crosses,,spike bands . I Love it.,Black hat with a black vail over it haha

LOVE that "cape" idea for the jacket, prompted me to go out and thrift an jacket and "cape" cropped blazer to DIY into a stylized jacket.

How do you search up blouses you've showed? I'm trying to find something like that on second hand platforms but everything I find is visibly for women. What would you type if you were to search them up?

@@staciemckelly93 good key words are "pirate" or "vampire" or "puffy" blouse and just adding "mens" or "unisex". might be harder to find them second hand but hopefully this helps!
