GREAT TIPS. I have the hardest time keeping my lashes curled so another tip I use is warming up my curler with heat (not too hot) with my hair dyer and it works great and helps my lashes to stay curled.

Wow! I am Amazed at CV your technique!! At 63, I virtually have very short, fine, lashes. When I was younger, I had very full long lashes! Age has not been my friend. After menopause, yikes, everything changed. You are an incredibly Beautiful woman! Hey, I'm not afraid to say, the obvious.....lash curlers "ARE" my friend! Thank you so much, for all the help tips, especially with the hooded eyes. My right lid has more of a larger hood,( of course, I'm right handed so, "playing" with shadows is more difficult, applying to my left eye)But, now that I've found your vlogs, my eyes are peeled & excited for every one! Thank You! I can't wait till I'm able to go pamper myself and get your new haircut! Hoping, I can pull it off! Also, I can't stand "False Lashes!" For me....I have several pairs I received in Boxycharm/Boxyluxe Subscription boxes, but, have no need for them. Would give them to someone, but, due to my agoraphobia, I have no friends. SB: you might consider a fiber mascara. I outlined my problems above. I can't wear falsies because my eyes water but fiber mascara (mine is by Simply Naked Beauty) is great. I've also used the primer and 3 different mascaras for a lavish look. Check out the video too by Jessica Pettway. Good luck.

Those were some great tips. I've never used primer, however I think I will. I've been a big Maybelline fan for years. I prefer waterproof now because I find it helps hold the curl better.

I’m glad you picked up some useful tips to try! Yes, I’ve heard many people say that waterproof mascara does really help hold their curl. Maybelline does have some great mascaras.....years ago my favorite was their “Illegal Lengths” mascara. I was SO sad when they stopped making that one!

Sharalee, I've been doing everything you're doing and then some. Got some tips that helped from Jessica Pettyway. However I have a weird problem. The lashes on my right eye are thick, full and long. On my left eye they are shorter, a little thinner with a bald spot or two. My doctor had one suggestion: take biotin. It's good for hair, nails and skin. The internet suggests using castor oil (organic) on your lashes instead of Latisse or one of the other expensive lash serums. Have been doing both and it is slowly helping. False lashes are in the drawer and my husband says both eyes look the same. One of the best things that you recommended is the lash primer by L'Oreal - it increases the volume of your lashes immensely. Thanks for a great video, hope my comments help others with the same problems.

Sharalee your tips are always so helpful. I saw a similar tutorial by Jessica Pettway that actually used 4 mascaras (one was the primer) and it was helpful too. My problem is the lashes on my right eye are long, fairly thick and even. On the left eye the lashes are much shorter with less length and bare spots. No matter what I do the two eyes look different. I finally spent the money and bought a fiber mascara (Bare Naked Beauty) which has three steps. It's made an astounding difference. The fibers both lengthen and thicken the lashes and somehow both eyes look almost the same. I must say that you've been blessed with naturally long, thick lashes so that your mascara looks like falsies. If my other eye catches up I think I'll be able to utilize your tips. In the meantime you might consider a tutorial on fiber mascaras, there are a few of them. Take care, God bless, you're a real sweetheart!

Sounds like you have found a really great solution with the fiber mascara! The only one I've tried was by Younique and it was really nice. I do have good length and thickness to my lashes and I'm grateful. Great video and tips. Found super helpful. I always gave it a few sec for the mascara primer to dry, well now I'm going to try your recommendation. My brothers gf warms her lash curler just a litter before applying it to her lashes. I'm chicken! I have yet to find a curler that doesn't cause me to lose lashes every single time I try it. So, no curler for me. I've tried the lash primers in the past and hated it.....because I let it dry prior to mascara. Now, I know better! Thanks for that! Sharalee many thanks for the tips. For me, I do not use an eyelash curler. I was taught by a make up artist to blink slowly while holding the mascara wand against my lashes and to gently pull up and HOLD for a few seconds...it really works for me. You might also be interested to know that I found that nearly all mascara is the same formulation just packaged for different vendors. L'Oreal, found in the pharmacy, for instance is owned by Lancôme which is a high end company. I like my lashes thick, but I do not like the "spider leg effect". Lashes can get brittle when so much mascara is applied and then they can break off. It takes a lot of trial and error to get enough mascara and still look natural. I remove all eye makeup with a small amount of Coconut Oil and a tissue. Love your channel, thanks again.

All of a sudden, it hit me! I pulled out the Tarte Clay Play Volume II and couldn't believe how similar the colors are! You are missing the dark brown from the Aspyn palette but the blush shade is almost a dead-on dupe for the one in the Aspyn palette and so are many of the eyeshadow colors. Hmmm...I’ve never actually tried the waterproof version so I can’t compare the two. Since the regular Lash Paradise is a more dry formula, I don’t find it to be super messy.....it is a bigger brush though so some might have a hard time with that.

Oh yes, I think you'll notice a BIG difference with a mascara primer! My favorite eye makeup remover is coconut oil. I usually start off with a makeup remover wipe and wash my face with some soap first to get some of the makeup off and then follow with the coconut oil. Bioderma is also good if you prefer something non-oily.

My absolute favorite product I use every night is coconut oil. I’ve used the fractionated oil before (stays liquid) but I think the virgin, cold pressed coconut oil is the best. I just massage it over my entire eye area and then tissue it off. I feel like it breaks down even the most stubborn makeup and doesn’t burn my eyes. Bioderma is also great if you want something non-oil based.😊

I love Essence mascara. Very inexpensive, but you get a lot of bang for your buck. I'm always trying new mascaras, but always go back to Essence Princess. I love Loreal primer also, but Essence is very good also & half the price here in Ontario CA.

I will try, but it seems my eyelashes look great when I do them at first ,then they fall -straight out - I even warm my eyelash curler. I’m just needing a mascara that holds the curl I guess. Thanks bunches for tips. Funny a lot of this I actually do 🥰 primer may be the game changer for me.

Oh yes, I hope some of these tips (especially the primer) help you!! I don't know if you've tried the IT Cosmetics Superhero mascara but several people I know that have difficulty with their lashes staying curled have found that one doesn't seem to weigh them down. Also, you may try waterproof mascara....another tip I've learned from others in your same shoes....or should I say "eyelashes"😜❤️

You are a natural beauty and do not require such heavy makeup. Actually I like your L eye especially without mascara/liner on the bottom which makes your eyes look smaller.

My style can be referred to as a longer pixie cut. I do have a video where my stylist gives details about how she cuts it that I’ll link below. You are welcome! I’m not sure how detailed she gets about the color in this video but I did 2 other videos with my stylist where she talks about the color. In summary, though, my natural color is about a level 5.5 ash brown and then she uses a volume 30 (bleach) for the highlights to lift me to about a 10.

Oh, and a great dupe for the Clinique bottom lash is the new Wet n Wild Megaslim Skinny mascara. I have the same problem with a lot of mascaras bleeding/smudging as well. The wand is longer than the Clinique but it is as skinny as the Clinique:)

Whatever I do and whatever I use , it is all over the place and then gone, in minutes, literally 30/40 mins. What am I doing wrong ? I've been told powdering around the eye helps but no way at my age will I put powder anywhere on my face, Every and I mean every mascara I've bought ends up in dotted lines under my eyebrows , I've got low, very straight eyebrows and moon shapes under my eyes. Help anyone ?

The first recommendation I have is to use an eyeshadow primer on your upper lids, even if you are not wearing eyeshadow. I have super oily eyelids and without an eyeshadow primer, the oils will break down my mascara throughout the day. You may also want to add a little translucent powder or use a skin tone eyeshadow to set it down. Regarding under your lower lashes, it sounds like you may have a little extra moisture there too. If you use a very finely milled powder and just a tiny amount of it on a fluffy brush under your eyes, that might do the trick. You can also try using a Kleenex right after applying the mascara to the lower lashes and gently wipe under the lashes to remove any excess mascara. Hope some of these tips are helpful!💕
