Interesting replacement (MK2+Jam) for Studio. In fact, the top right of the Jam looks EXACTLY like Maschine Studio's master control section. I don't really understand how it gives "direct access to scenes and patterns" but... we'll see when the tutorials start coming out. I can't wait to see the spec's.

I feel like this was more aimed at someone like me. I keep wanting to compose and work entirely in MASCHINE, but I only upgraded the software and didn't get to upgrade to the Studio controller yet. But both of these would be epic; setup the project in Studio, and then play the layered instruments out through a scene and then work with the scene back in Studio. Now, if only +Matt Celletti could hook me up... ;-)

I'm very interested in buy this to go with my maschine. As I bought mine buy it came with select 11 and since I want massive x and 12 select I may be better of buying this and getting 12 with it. Pretty much get this of 12 for free. Smart thinking. But I'm interested to know. Isn't the jam just exactly the same as the step sequencer on the maschine?

Im also guessing this is why for those who own komplete 10 ultimate. we feel as if buying the upgrade to 11 isnt worth it. cuz yall were making a push companion for maschine in stead of upping your komplete library outside of the symphony series strings

I never went past komplete 9. I upgraded to "live sample" mode. This included An amp, mics, acoustic, electric guitar, custom drums , my amp with bidirectional USB audio/midi through guitar rig and an iPhone. Still got the good old 2010 machine mikro orange edition. #skittlefreedrumpads

I'm done with NI controllers...got a push 2 the other night. I had problems with maschine hardware and software since I bought it 5 years ago. Every time I was feeling creative I would get plug-in errors and have to fuck around trying to fix those. That happened with each new PC I had (maybe it works better on mac). Can't forget having to run ASIO4ALL to actually hear any sound. I've had the Push 2 for 2 days and already it's more comfortable and more intuitive to use than maschine ever was and all I had to do was install the software and plug it in (no asio4all!). I will say that maschine comes with a better variety of sounds than the intro version of ableton live, but i found a program that will let me use any NI sound/sample/synth in Ableton Live. It's $40 for that program but I think it's going to be worth it.

Your computer must suck!!!! Never ran into a plugin issue even when they were on Maschine 1.8. Ableton is good too I am not going to lie though.
@TRUE_GR1T8 жыл бұрын
Jamal Washington My computer is fine. I never said anything about crashing btw^^ My older laptop wasn't great but was good enough for maschine. I spent $1700 on this pc last year so it's not top of the line but certainly not the worst pc out there. I actually did get all of my maschine plug-ins working after hours of reinstalling and moving VST locations and a bunch of other trial and error. That was a few months ago...I recently reinstalled razor since I forgot to back then, and I'm having the same 'Plug-in not found!" Error with any effect from razor. That was the final straw for me... When I bought maschine about 5 years ago I was under the impression that it was more of a DAW then just a screen to arrange a beat. 2 days on ableton live (a real DAW) and it functions as I had expected the maschine to. It also feels like a higher quality product...the MK1 feels like a toy next to it.

Is it possible to sequence hardware instruments from the Jam? I have the Aira series. A tr8, tb3 and system 1. If I want to get it all going together, do I have to use a daw, with Maschine as a plug in on 1 channel and the hardware on separate channels in Logic? Or can I use Maschine as stand alone, recording the other hardware instruments into the Maschine daw? & then if I got the jam, could I sequence the tb3 and tr8? Would Maschine have to be the interface or still use my audio interface? I’m either making tunes in Logic or Maschine with my monitors plugged into interface, or I’m jamming Dawless with the aira set up, but I haven’t got it all working together yet. I’m pretty newb with al this, so if anyone can offer any tips or link tutorials that’d be wicked. Would anyone think the MX1 would be a good option to use as the ‘brains’ and have Maschine on 1 MX1 channel? & if so, how easy is it to do this?
@mycosys Жыл бұрын
Yes, maschine doesnt much care what it does with the midi, be it internal or external. It makes no differentiation between midi and sample tracks, and they can be mixed in a kit. You can also write in Maschine to externals, and then easily sample into it for chopping.

What parameters does the Lock function save? Can we lock and morph VST settings?
@modernmythrecordings47497 жыл бұрын
1. Well, dropdown-style parameters do not seem to be part of the lock (like changing the main sound preset of a vst or something) Just about everything I have messed with is lockable, I did notice Tempo and time signatures are not lockable. Most, just a few exceptions. 2. Yes and yes, again with a few exceptions.

Very disappointed! This video did nothing but convince NI users not to buy this product...it's completely unnecessary! Where's the DAW, channel strip controller, better Audio Interface etc.? NI is falling behind, it's sad and this is coming from a loyal customer!
@basehead6177 жыл бұрын
So all the manuals and help I've seen say you can only use one Maschine controller at a time, 1 per instance.. so how is this possible??
@modernmythrecordings47497 жыл бұрын
It is referring specifically to using two identical model Maschine controllers in a setup simultaneously, (which would require one of them to be in 'Midi Mode') This setup in the video is Maschine MkII and a Maschine Jam setup which still allows both controllers to keep their normal "Maschine Mode" functionalities.
