I think the arrange window needs to get upgraded. Ideas view is already good enough in terms of selecting patterns for scenes. Arrangement should be able to record everything that happens in the maschine when you jam with it the same as ableton does with its session view into arrangement. Saving all lock state morphing and every little thing we do like muting a sound randomly or dropping levels for a group, sends etc. it would complete Maschine’s journey imo. Cool video btw!

Read my mind with this video, I love the Lock State feature and just remembered about it! So slept on. Some features I'd love to see are: -labeling lock states instead of just numbers -linking them to patterns and scenes. (Just as you select a pattern to correspond with scene, so could lock states) -

Clearly like a lot of other people watching this I’d totally forgotten about the lock states page. Think I saw you or someone else mention it in a video a long time ago and I always meant to come back to investigate. I just got into the habit of using the standard lock state and ideas view to edit filters and effects, mutes etc before jumping back to the main beat. The shift+lock page is SOOO much better for that!! Duh! Good lesson to never rest on what you know but keep exploring. Great video as always.

This is possible if you connect a midi cable from the midi output of the maschine to the midi input, and then route the midi from a particular group to trigger lock states which means you can record that pattern.. Blezz beats has a video on this if I’m not mistaken.
