Love all your videos. You inspired me to start in leatherworking. If I wasn't poor I would buy all your tools 😂. Those are some fantastic looking wallets and the process is amazing. Happy 4th to you and your family! Keep doing amazing work and inspiring more people because I know I'm not the only one.

Late wife?! Man, I have been watching your videos for a while and maybe I missed it but I know I saw a video a while ago of her in a reclining chair relaxing if I remember correctly. I'm sorry to hear this buddy. I hope you and the kids are doing the best you possibly could be. ❤ from the Midwest.

They look so pretty! 😍 You're using 5 oz leather on the pockets, body, bill pocket and no skiving? That's a thick wallet right? 😜🤪🤙🏽

Would you be able to do a video on your design process? How to factor in the stitching placement with the dimensions of the wallet and such. I want to be able to comfortably make my own designs but want more efficient ways of doing so.

Great work mate, i alway enjoy your videos, they are perfectly put together and extremely educational and entertaining. You obviously have a real passion for your art and putting together a video and it shows in the final product. I can only imagine the time that goes into each video so thanks for your efforts. On another note, have you ever tried water based glue, i did and never went back, its mainly the smell for me, i used to get headaches from it but waterbase has no odour at all, is very easy to clean up and is a much thinner consistency and can be applied with a a small needle tipped bottle and it doesn't dry out so you don't need to thin it ever. Just my experience, take it or leave it. Thanks again and keep up the great work 👍

I see you using the dremel which I also use but do you step up the sanding grits? IE start with 8 grit and move upward to lets say 600 grit to get the edges so smooth on your stuff?

Yes. I start rough and move to fine

Good afternoon, I’m a big fan, looking to turn this hobby into a business. My question is, if putting this many hours into your wallets /unit averaging 1 wallet /day, do you generally use other methods to improve this rate? My reason for not having started this business is it seems I’d have to charge $700-$1,000/wallet if it takes 1 wallet a whole day. Being a business I’d hope there’s a way to produce 3-4 wallets per day while still maintaining that quality. What are your thoughts? Thank you sir!
@Tx_rickjames4 ай бұрын
You have to achieve a client base/following to begin with which he has done really really well. Many of us here probably started because of him. 5 wallets a day is possible but you have to stay focused . Use Dies, and machines. YOu can do it. Artie is one of the "non GateKeepers"
