Love Reggie!!! I personally know Tip the Crayone from Crayola and Cow from Chick-fil-A. I feel blessed to have had the experience of performing as a mascot at both places. It's so much fun! I am looking forward to the holidays because my friend Cow will make a couple appearances at the restaurant I work at. The only sad part is that I am never around to snap a selfie with them because I am them. LOL

I'd have to say Benny the Bull is my favorite, but I'm from Chicago, so I'm probably biased. I'm fairly sure that thing from Reggie's nose is nothing short of Magic Nose Goblin. Also, Miss Jenn's giggles make me happy.

We had the San Francisco Chicken show up to anthrocon a few years ago, and they were amazed at the fursuit people. They commented about how they'd wear the mascot costume for a few hours at most for an event, but was amazed at the fursuitors who'd wear their suits for 12+ hours while being active, dancing, roaming around, etc.

We went to the Mascot Hall Of Fame last year. We ended up getting in for free due to some mix up with the tickets we had and a change of hours. I'm kinda glad we got in free seems they still need some more stuff in there. I hope you check out the Packerton Pop machine in Indiana some day.

9:00 the kicking tee is BACKWARDS 😁 The two stems allow your foot to swing up into the ball from behind. Laces should be towards the goalpost. Just a tip from a former kicker 😎 We had a similar interactive sports exhibit at the college football HOF when it was near Notre Dame. It has since moved to Georgia.

Not sure if someone's already mentioned it, but the mascot of the Indians [now Guardians] at the van out front is Slider! I met him a few years ago at one of the fundraiser events for the Mascot Hall. The Hall is like a second home for me, I've been a member for several years now! I've attended meet and greets, fundraisers, and induction ceremonies - the staff practically knows me at this point! I follow over 170 mascots on social media and have met 89 in person since 2010! The Hall is truly an amazing facility that not only highlights these amazing performers but is also education based as well! It truly has something for everyone 😁

Before they changed the name to zookeepers I was the mascot for the asheboro copperheads in NC named "fang" from 2015-2018 for one more year in 2021. I had a blast! I loved every second of it!

They missed the greatest of all sports mascots; the ever-lovin' King Cake Baby from the New Orleans Pelicans. And the mascot with the most elaborate backstory; the St. Louis Billiken. The Billiken was originally a charm doll creature invented in 1908 by an eccentric Kansas City artist named Florence Pretz, possibly in competition with the Kewpie that was released a year later. Referred to as the 'god of things as they should be', the Billiken is said to have appeared to Pretz in a dream and was something of an imitation of the Budai statues commonly seen in Chinese restaurants and mistakenly called 'Buddha'. In a weird kind of circular cultural appropriation, the Billiken became an accidental mascot of the city of Osaka when a statue of him was sent to decorate an American theme garden created around the base of Tsutenkaku Tower, an Eiffel Tower knock-off created for a Luna Park exhibit. After the park closed, the whereabouts of the statue became a mystery until, long later, copies of it began appearing in front of the shops near the tower like other decorative oni, tanuki, and hero figures and the Billiken soon became a signature of Osaka itself, even though no one quite remembered where it came from. Later he became a mascot for SLU, the Royal Order of Jesters (a Masonic branch of the Shriners), and the Japanese Billiken Shokai toy company.
