I imagine Behra and Fangio were pleased enough with the originals. They could handlie very well when everrything aligned.All Maseratis with the space frame/deDion chsssis -from the 200S on - were like that And the broken clutch pedal was a fluke. At any rate, I am sure Castelotti wished he 'd stayed with Maserati.

That is not the 450 S engine...... most likely came out of a Quattroporte
