But there is only 1 Maserati and it is pretty special and simply sensational. When I was driving this car, I felt like a million dollars, German cars are wonderful but they cannot bring this feeling. And still, many of us, buy cars out of passion and love for them.

I love this car. I’ve owned BMW and Mercedes and just got a Ghibli. It’s the first car I’ve truly fallen in love with. It makes driving so enjoyable and it’s so beautiful as well. Nice review. A famous KZbinr in America made a terrible review of the ‘14 Model and it gets such a bad reputation now. It’s nice to see someone who really appreciates what this car offers!

@@lolkevandewitte1713 A lot of people listen, which has driven the depreciation on these cars to extreme levels. I just got a '17 SQ4 with upgrades for 38K. Sticker price was in the low 90's I believe. That's almost 60% depreciation in 3 years.

Anna. It's a lovely looking car. So different from the "run of the mill" German makes (Not that I don't like them too!). Sounds good too. And the interior is stunning. However, take YOU out the of car and the interior's... Well... Just nice! I was going to mention something about legs too, but my heart's beating too fast... :-))... Great review! I test drove both the Maserati Ghibli and the Alfa Romeo Giulia Veloce when I was car shopping. Here in the US Maserati has been offering big deals on lease because the Ghibli has lost market and the sales are not doing well, so the monthly payment difference was minimal. I ended leasing a loaded Giulia. It has better steering and the handling is more agile. The "Giorgio" platform is making a big difference here. I love both exterior looks, but the Giulia is a bit fresher. With the Full Leather package the interior of the Giulia is comparable. The only thing I preferred of the Ghibli was the engine sound. I have 10.000 miles of great satisfaction so far, with not even a single issue. It has been more reliable then a previous Subaru I owned and it tells a lot! For the next lease I will be considering also the new Ghibli that maybe will come out next year or so.

These cars look and sound amazing, but their reliability, durability and resale value leaves a lot to be desired.

You probably want to get them on a leasing contract. Or second hand so someone else has taken the heavy depreciation. Also the 3,0 liter diesel engine from Fiat-Chrysler is not their finest hour. So if you are going to get any Maserati, just get a petrol model with one of those 6 or 8-cylinder Ferrari derived engines, and pay the fuel bills.
