I test drove a used 2105 Quattro Porte Q4 S V6 last week...it had 35K miles. I have previously owned a 2016 BMW 550i and while the V6 at 404 HP didn't quite have the same kick as the Bimmer 445 HP in their TT V8 it was no slouch and I was Very impressed with how she drove and steered and I also liked the infotainment system, thought it was well thought out, easy to use and responded quickly. Fyi, with tax out the door the car was $40K so quite a bit of depreciation, which I liked (being the one that didn't have to pay it). Overall I was very impressed and love how the white car looks and yes the backseat is amazing...my 20 year old son is 6'2" and I doubt he could get in a Ghibli's backseat so the Quattro Porte is my choice, plus I really like how the car looks.

Wow beautiful limo...so big though, that's why I prefer the Ghibli...and if you prefer the V6 like myself then Ghibli makes complete sense...either way Maserati is just a classy joint

why do you havr to be a chairman of a board or a CEO to own a maserati? i hate when people tag you based on what you drive, im a mechanic and i own a quattoporte. this car is for car enthusiasts not just rich people.

Love the car, but typical English inspired snobbery about uconnect. Notice he tells us that the only disappointment about the touchscreen is that it is based on chrysler. Why is that a bad thing? It works well, simple to use, does the job and is easy to source and service. What, you want maserati to try to design another touchscreen just to say it is not a Chrysler product? Then what genius? A car that already has a crappy service record despite its achingly gorgeous design has yet another Italian built snafu to drag its owner into the shop on over and over again? Maserati wants to sell 50,000 cars a year. You do that above all with reliability. Hell, give it some more American parts so its cheaper to service and more reliable, fine by me. What makes it gloriously Italian is the engine and the bodywork. Check and check. Ill take mine in Modena red thanks very much.
@DarthMWAL9 жыл бұрын
I said "english inspired". This guy doesn't have an original thought in his head about his criticism of American cars. Just a bit of Clarkson's disdain and add a little Needell, then call everything American cheap and unworthy. Then let the Aussie copy and we have a review folks.
@PHONYASIAN9 жыл бұрын
it's because if you live in America and you look at a $20000 dodge dart, you'll see exactly the same infotainment system. And I don't know about you but I don't want to spend $100000 on a car and see it's sharing parts with a 20000 dollar car.
@DarthMWAL9 жыл бұрын
+PHONYASIAN I understand that in theory where you are coming from, but when I sit in a $60000 SRT Grand Cherokee and see the same thing it ain't so bad. Would we all have this gripe if they said "screw it, let's just go license iOS and put it in the car? No...nobody would care. If it works, and is functional, and it appears in a Dart or a Maserati, and it had "Apple" on it...nobody would be having this conversation - it would just be cool. That's my point. Besides...say this was a German car, we'd expect the germans to make their own system and have it be pretty reliable and useable right? Do you seriously want the Italians to try their hand at that? The answer of course is "hell no" since they don't know how to build anything that lasts longer than 2 years under serious use anyway. (Except the Coliseum...that lasted...) So what if they went off and licensed Audi's MMI? Would you be griping about it? Same MMI in the $27000 base A4 Premium I rented this week that is found in the Audi S8 I drove last week.....why would that be a problem? Forest for the trees....

@Famishedpage9 жыл бұрын
But when it comes to exotic luxury cars, 30 grand is dirt cheap compared to its original price tag. Every car deprecates, but exotics rarely do. Maserati, of course, is the worst with depreciation. That is the point i was making. Maurice Webb
