Super Mario: The Wrong Trunks

Bowser has been stopped, the Super Mario Bros are victorious and all is right in Mario World. Until Mario and Luigi realise that the red sibling turned into an elephant to take down the Big Bad and now can’t turn back. Oops. This makes the Super Mario Bros wonder: will the shorter plumber be an elephant man forever? Not if Luigi gets his way.
This isn’t some Mario Party for the green bro. He has to deal with all sorts of stuff like his Mario kart getting busted, his house getting wrecked. So, the taller of the two is determined to find a way to turn Mario elephant back into Mario man.

Especially in the animation film, The Super Mario Bros (2023), where he has limited personality, accquitance relationships with Mario and fight skills just to showcase Chris Pratt's Mario instead of making him sorted of a badass, quintessential and different like in the first Luigi Mansion with his newly paranormal training and solo adventures. Yes, I'm aware that Luigi's Mansion reference in the movie and Smash Bros promotion for the Castlevania character of Simon. But he was sidelined to Jack Black's King Bower song 🍑 become vital. Hell, Mario has a better bromance relationship with Donkey Kong than his own brother in the animation film.

4:21 what makes this have a stronger impact is the fact that it's all true, even the Mario from the 1993 live action Super Mario Bros Movie had more of a personality than the video game Mario, Nintendo doesn't bother to give Mario an actual character, or even let him speak in complete sentences, it's just the same old game formula over & over again, just with different level designs that still feel to similar, and different power-ups, without that Mario is just Milk flavored Ice Cream, it's no wonder why Sonic the Hedgehog can work better in other forms of Media than Mario, because Sonic is his own character, and Mario is just a host for Power-Ups, which is why he sticks to video games more than any other form of media, hopefully someday Nintendo can fix that & make a game where Mario is more that just power-ups running around in a human body.
